But read my post first before responding. The parallel I drew is perfect as Roy and Toney were the 2 top dogs at Cruiser-weight back then.
Pacquiao beating Cotto(top dog at WW at the time) would be the same as Bernard actually moving up and STOPPING RJJJR or James Toney. I'm not comparing Cotto to Tito. Get that into your head. TRY AND FOLLOW THE PARALLEL.
Going up to Cruiserweight and beating the champ would be farrr more impressivve than beating little Trinnidad. Sorry son. Reality bites.
Size matters.

Hell he just had a war 2 fights, 10 months prior to facing Hopkins.
So I don't get your point. Barrera was in his prime or at the very least the tail end of his prime. the best featherweight at that time, P4P elite level fighter as well. The lineal featherweight champion. And, then after the fight went up to a division and unified the division.
Barrera win>>>Tito win.

Barrera was a huge step up for Manny at that time. Manny was still a kid pretty much.
Hopkins was a seasoned veteran Vs a great fighter but in a division he did very little in.
That doesn't change the fact it was a great win for Hopkins, it was.
But it's not better than Pac's win over Barrera.

Cotto is definitetly comparable to James Toney.
Who is James Toney's best win?
Cotto was the top dog at WW. period. Pac mauled him down.
for comparison's sake it is always more impressive to move up and beating a top dog than to pick out smaller guys as they come up.
It is not debateable. i don't know why I'm still in this thread with you drooling ******s.

It's Pacquiao. No amount of time spent trying to rip on Pacquiao's wins changes that. I could rip on Hopkins's wins just as easily.

P4P, Hopkins steamrolls threw Pacquiao's resume with one hand tied behind his back. Morales, Barrera, Marquez, Cotto, Margarito, Hatton, Clottey, would all lose to Hopkins P4P.
Can't say the same for Pacquiao steamrolling through Hopkins resume P4P. Jones demolishes Pacquiao and every one on Pacquiaos resume, Calzaghe beats Pacquiao, Winky Wright beats Pacquiao, Taylor that Hopkins fought beats Pacquiao, Pacquiao beats Trinidad, Pascal beats Pacquiao, Pacquiao beats Tarver, Pacquiao beats Pavlik, Pacquiao beats Glen Johnson.
The weight disparities are obvious, but of course this is P4P, fantasy matches we're talking about.

Size matters.Hell I didn't even know that...That's news to me.
Anyways on a serious note. Cotto wasn't the top dawg at WW at the time. That is false.
Also you're forgetting that is not like Tito didn't have a MW fight prior to facing Hopkins.
For a few years there was a debate of who the best MW was between Hopkins and Joppy. At worse Joppy was the 2nd best MW. And, Tito absolutely destroyed Joppy. It was such a dominant scary destruction that most people thought Hopkins was going to lose. At worse after the Joppy fight people considered Tito the 2nd best MW at worse. Some even considered Tito #1 at MW after the Joppy fight. That's how impressive he was.
There was a reason why most thought Tito was going to beat Hopkins and why most thought Pac was going to beat Cotto.
Different caliber fighters man, different level fighters. That Tito win is much greater than that Cotto win.
And, again "me being Puerto Rican"doesn't really matter since both fighters are Puerto Rican. So I don't get where you're coming from.
And, is not just about the size man. Is about the fighter. Hence why Barrera win, who's much smaller than Cotto, is not only a better win than Cotto win. But, also a better win than Tito win.
After this statement, are you going to accuse me of being Mexican?
