We dont know that for sure. Maybe you're right but thats the real reaon why its not being made not because of either guy ducking.

Problem is there is nobody at 130 and Juanma just cares about money, so I guess it will be Rafa again and then Gamboa and then up to 135
I do see Gamboa possibly beating Juanma - at either weight - and, I don't think that 130 will be hugely detrimental to Gamboa, if at all. That is a pickem fight to me, with the winner likely being the guy who lands the first meaningful punch, at either weight.

The move slightly favors Juanma, without really disadvantaging Gamboa, who should also be stronger at 130. If anything, it brings Juanma right into the fight and could be a better matchup.

My calendar is free for next weekend, lets do it

i liek juanma but hes looked like a ***** ever since 122 ducking caballero and now trying to get any kind of advantage in facing gamboa ... **** the rematch with marquez and fight gamboa at 126. arum and team are dreaming if they think this fights is going to get any bigger then it is right now. wheres the additional interest going to come from? if the fights good they can do it again and maybe then it could be at 130 and make real good money ...

Virtually everyone agrees that Lopez is the "golden child," and that Gamboa has little fan-base. Why would Arum "protect" Yuri? Assuming JuanMa can beat Gamboa, there's nothing to lose if Yuri has no fan-base.
the funny ting is that juanma is supposed to be a hot ticket seller but to the marquez fight about 4k people showed up, like arum said both quys are still pretty much unknown to the general public

It was in Vegas a place where Marquez should have been able to sell more tickets. If the fight was in NY or NJ the attendence would probably be double that or more.

And in a way I think Juanma had been thinking about moving up , so he took the opportunity.

I dont care what anybody says , these 2 have room for improvement. Mainly on defense.

And Neither has taken any punishment , so why not wait until they are at their very best. I dont think they are there yet.

I think even with Gamboa having like 9 less fights they are almost at the same skill level and are a pretty evenly matched. And this fight is a toss up. Thats why everybody is so excited. Because its great matchup with fireworks written all over it.

It doesnt really bother me that the fight is at 130. What I do think is that Lopez thinks he might have a slightly better chance @ 130 and since Gamboa said he was going to move up Lopez took advantage of that.

I dont think it changes much come fight night.

this fight its not even close....
