Wow you know nothing about sport if you think that's unusual.

Footballers love to play in front of their own fans. All sportsman do.

Can't believe the extreme levels of cynicism of some so-called sports fans on here. Extreme naivete and extreme cynicism are both as ridiculous as each other, and your extreme cynicism is as ridiculous as the extreme naivete that you're trying unsuccessfully to ridicule.

I don't see why the Americans usually have home advantage in this tournament.

Johnson had his last fight in the US. Ward has all his Super Six fights in California.

If it's based on economics, Froch-Johnson would draw more fans and make more money in Nottingham than anywhere in the US.

Incidentally, all those pointing out that Johnson is Jamaican are being a little disingenious. He is, in terms of citizenship, but he has lived in the US since he was 15. The US is as at least much home turf for him as Germany is for Abraham (or for the Klitschkos).

If Froch wanted to fight at home, he shouldn't have signed a contract to fight in America. I don't think Johnson will get robbed in Nottingham, I don't care about that, I do care that Froch/Johnson is contracted to take place in America.

I'm a Froch fan, and am looking forward to him fighting Johnson on primetime US television, instead of watching on a stream early in the afternoon. The Super Six is put on by Showtime, and Froch hasn't had to cross the pond once yet. What's the big deal?

Look, Froch is in a tournament that required him to fight outside of the UK numerous times. Quit with all that "Froch deserves to fight at home" bull****, Froch deserves to honor the damn contract he signed when he joined the tournament, which includes the final two fights taking place in America.
Froch fought taylor in the states in the super six

I dont want to see anybody robbed in a fight but you have more chance of dodgy officials in the states than anywhere else apart from germany of course. At the end of the day people are right, froch is contracted to fight in america for the semifinals and thats what he should do, i just hope he gets a fair crack of the whip. Both of them deserve that. Hes not fighting an american so i think the chances of a poor decision are drastically reduced.

Froch versus Taylor wasn't part of the Super Six Tournament... that fight was before the tourney started.

Just because Froch wants the fight at home doesn't mean he is planning on getting a dodgy decision over Johnson!

His last three fights have been in Denmark, Finland and America. As the champion and the fact he will fight anyone anywhere, he deserves to have the fight in Nottingham. The crowd and atmosphere will also add to fight..

oh yeah thats right, he started off against dirrell i think, but that still remains his only fight in his home country, which is good going imo, no easy pass here

Im not saying he deserves a semi final at home, it should be neutral, but a fair venue. Id hate to see a pretty good fight on paper get a poor gate and no atmosphere.
