Your excuses work both ways homie. Compare the fights. Rafa actually went up in weight which Calderon isn't doing. Calderon is less than a year older than Rafa and has been through less wars. Check your statements.

Hey fanboy you just said it.seguras all champ so he gets to call the shots.money is what made him stay at 108.there's absolutely nothing to complain abt if money is the motive.blame segura for eyeing money slot number$$$

The fact that Rafa hurt Juanma in the 4th round and almost dropped him and the fact that Calderon was able to land so many shots early on Segura is a testament to both fighters. Both were great champs who are passed their primes.
This is called passing the torch. 9 times out of 10 in these fights the old guy gets whooped. Oscar vs Chavez. Rafa vs Juanma and now Calderon and Segura. It is pretty similar. Juanma was 27 and Rafa 35. Segura is 28 and Calderon is 36.
Every once in a while the old guy beats the odds and pulls it off. (Hopkins vs Pavlik comes to mind) Usually the younger guy wins. Next month you have Jorge Arce who's best weight was 112 and 115 fighting Vazquez Jr at 122. Arce isn't a really junior featherweight and his best days are behind him. Too many wars. Vazquez will crush him. Hell look at Manny vs Mosley. Who wins that fight 5 years ago? Even the Manny of today vs the Mosley of 5-6 years ago would be a close fight.
Realistic Mexican fans know Arce probably loses to Vazquez Jr. just like realistic Rican fans know Calderon will probably lose to Segura...nothing wrong with rooting for your guy but I think fans should be real ab out analyzing the fights.

Calderon had speed in the Segura fight but Segura did what no one else had done and that was go at the body religiously and took away Calderon's best strength. Brilliant game plan by Segura.
