Last nite was the lowest moment for boxing I have ever seen...nothing has turned me off more to the sport and I have been a fan since I was 8 years old...and everyone I know feels the same way.
Why do people care about HBO so much? Its all about entertainment. Yea they have their own scorecard and have human beings doing the broadcast which means there will automatically be bias. So many posters dont have minds of their own and think that HBO has to match their bias
It also doesnt affect the judges scorecards so who cares
Ive lost allllll respect for Bradley! Like DLH said....Bradley knows he lost and should have handed over the belt to Manny! Man up you fu(kin coward!
Bradelys Corner said in the corner to Bradley..." Do you want to continue?" Why would they ask that if they thought he was winning???????
Bradley Told Max Kellerman when he was asked if he thought he won the fight...Bradley answered...." I have to go back and look at the tape!!!! WTF? Who says that? A person who knows he lost. Man up
Well the corner said that in the second round when he "hurt his ankle"
I think it was more to pump him up to get back out there and do some work.
At least he was honest, he felt it was close. Don't blame him blame the judges.
Who knows he may come out and say that he lost after watching the fight.
Doubt it.
I say enjoy it, who gives a fk what's done is done, he's going to get another pay day and now more people know who Bradley is.
I don't care if your a Floyd Fan or a Manny Hater, but after watching Timothy Bradley Get beat up last night, which the whole damn world agrees with, how can you possibly justify this corruption?
I actually see alot of people trying to Justify The Judge's scores like they were right.. How?
I didn't agree with Lederman or the HBO crew that it was a complete shut out, no. But by no means was it a Split decision. Even if it were in Manny's favor..
Yes Compubox doesn't prove ****, but seeing is believing. And a Blind Man could have told you who won that fight.
Bob Arum proved how much power he has left in boxing last night. And proved why Boxing is still the most Corrupt sport in the world. After last night in such a high profile he robbed the true winner on the gamble that the rematch will be a bigger success..
Business wise that might be smart. But that's not why Boxing Fan's buy these PPV fights. Like someone told me earlier. Boxing is becoming WWE. Arum know's the rematch is going to be on everyone's mind now. Even if you declared your never watching again. But whether you pay for the rematch or just catch a free stream the hype is gonna be there all the way till November 11th..
Now I can understand Some people might dislike Manny Pacquiao, and 9 times out of 10 when you dislike a fighter, You judge their fights with pure Bias.. Not always though. And yes I know Manny been involved with some controversy of his own in past fights. But atleast JMM was debatable to anyone who saw it. Last Nite wasn't even close..
And to the people that are literally trying to justify the judge's Scorecards by giving Timmy 7 rounds are ******ed. Yes it was alot closer fight than HBO saw. Last Night I thought the first 3 were a toss up as were the last. There were ALOT of close rounds. After rewatching it twice today, I gave Timmy 4 rounds at best. They were the 2nd and the last 3.. Manny did slow down in the end, so the activity between the both wasn't enough to decide a clear winner. So I still believe the last 3 were a toss up.
It doesn't matter though. Boxing lost alot of fans last night because Bob Arum decided to take a gamble.. So even if there is a rematch. I pick Manny by brutal KO, and I hope the ppv gets no sales at all. Because i'll be watching the Streams from now on!! Boxing is dead
How can people complain about corruption when it happens to one fighter and not the other?
Don't make a stink about it now and call for non partisanship among the fans. The time for that was YEARS ago, but as long as Pacquiao was winning, all was right in the world.
Its funny when those who have been riding high on hubris become desperate and call for all those who they have refused to be reasonable with in the past to be impartial.
Two wrongs don't make a right, but your dilemma is a product of fans not coming together and showing contempt for this kind of nonsense years ago.
Its only now that you idiots want to send a message that we are tired of corruption because previously you benefited from that same corruption.
i agree with this thread, there were many close rounds in the fight and the primetime commentators wers so biased towards Pacquiao they didn't mention Bradley's counter punches.
For those who were on the fence wondering if boxing is corrupt, we got the answer on Saturday night.
And who exactly were these fence dwellers you speak of that needed to see a robbery of this magnitude to finally believe that boxing is a corrupt sport? I'm going to take a wild guess here and say that they are complete morons and fairweather fans who are declaring boxing to be dead over last night's outcome. Boxing has survived through worse than what we saw last night and it will be here long after Pacquiao and Mayweather take their exit.
