The first fight I remember watching was Chavez-Whitaker. All my family got together when Chavez fought so I also saw the Randall and DLH fights. Some time passed and saw some fights but the only one that stood out for me was Barrera-Hamed. My dad and uncles spoke of how flashy The Prince was so I got interested in watching him but instead I saw a badass Mexican drive his head into a turnbuckle and school him. I loved Barrera since then. :grill:

I lost interest but I really started following the sport in '06.

First fight I got hyped for was one of the Bowe-Holyfield fights. By the late 90s I was watching boxing almost daily.

That probably did play a role in me becoming a big boxing fan, I haven't thought about that in a long time thank you.

I was vacationing in Baguio City (that's where Pacquiao is training) with my wife and daughter, and they both got mad at me when I decided to stay in our room rather than go with them to see the scenery. I can still remember the Motor City Cobra's smile on his face when they announced it was a draw. He had that look on his face like it was saying, "I knew I won, everybody here including Sugar knew I won, no biggie". I got no horse on that race but I was pissed when they announced the decision.

I caught the boxing bug in the late 60s, first live fight that I saw? Some fight they called "Thrilla In Manila"...

Awesome, man. I can't think of many better fights to see live than that.

I started watching in 2006. I saw Mosley vs. Vargas II as a casual fan still but the week after that was Gatti-Baldomir, and I just decided to watch it. Then I started watching old fights on Youtube and I've been a huge fan since then.
i started watching in the mid 80's.

because of my pops. he use to have a lot of vhs tapes of old fighters career videos , fights , highlights , etc. then he would also have my uncle record new fights for him.

only time i didn't really follow boxing was probably around mid 90's to early 2000's.

late teens to early 20's i was more of just a casual fan. only watching the big fights.
