    This is a quote from the fat man himself;

    "I hurt my knee when I went down. It was unlucky but unfortunately these things happen. It will take a lot of time for me to get over this because I am not used to losing." - Odlanier Solis[5]

    Even Solis himself believes that it was a legit knock down. And now he will attempt to eat his way out of his deep depression.

      The punch did nothing? It caused him to fall and hurt his leg. Doesn't even take an idiot to know that.

        Crap, I clicked on this thread thinking it was an old pre-fight press release that someone had bumped to make Solis look like an idiot, only to find that he's done it just fine all by himself! Jeezus, what gall and sheer bloody minded idiocy! What the hell kind of painkillers is this guy on to make him utter such ownsome gibberish, and what the hell does he hope to achieve by doing so?

        This guy is a disgrace that (just for a moment) makes even Haye look good.

          It was easy to see that Solis was way more capable than any other opponent since Lewis but Vitali landed a lucky punch. Solis chin cant be that bad, it was a lucky punch, a phantom punch. In 20 fights something like this happens 1 time! Its a shamed it ended like that, it could have been a good competitive bout, something we havent seen in years with the Klitschkos and then something like this happens!! Im still angry about it and cant stand the hate towards Solis, this can happen to any fighter but hey thats boxing, we have to deal with it and hope Solis recovers well and comes back strong.

            this guy is a jack, he couldn't even keep on his feet when he got HALF SLAPPED!! by klitschko.....

            let me be really clear here, I AM NOT A KLITSCHKO FAN, neither of them, although i do like vitali WAY more than wlad, as a boxer, nothing personal, but this guy ODliander, dude comes in fat, looks like a doughnut salesman, and got wobbled by a GRAZING punch, and now has the audacity to talk smack that the guy that b*tch slapped him is a weakling......

            OD Solis is a joke, i could care less about his amateur career, maybe he should've stayed there............

            hopefully this will be the last we see or hear from him because we don't need another fat HW wasting everyones time and money.......... all the while he can't even be professional enough to get into shape while making big bucks......

            i hate heavyweights........ the division is a side show of over sized freaks and fattys........

              Talk about total disrespect. He is a bit harsh on Vitali isnt he, and dont seem to put any blame on himself, and in particular the fact that his body let him down injuring himself so easily. Vitali never hit his knee so why would it fail him?

              Solis should use his vitriolic tongue on his own knee and give it a ear bashing.because in the real world Vitali would be saying how easy to beat Solis was. In fact Vitali was saying that when he was laying down on the canvas

                  Dude would get more respect if he admitted that the punch caused his stay at the hospital. Those injuries are saving face for him. What if he hadn't got injured..what would've been his excuse for getting knocked down. Perhaps he would've gotten up..most likely saved by the bell. Do you think Vitali would let him off the hook. Every fighter that Vitali has ever put down has gone on to be stopped.

                      Solis trained well for Klitschko and lost weight. He was 271 against Barrett, 260 against Austin and 246 against Vitali. He took it serious to fight Vitali, the problem is he shouldnt have ever gone over 250 pounds! If he weighed 246 against Austin, he would have propably weighed araound 235 against Vitali but its not good to lose to much weight in a short time. The amount of weight Solis lost was absolutely right, he just should have started earlier to lose weight and never gone over 250. But still, this kind of injury can happen to any athlete, it often happens to professional soccer players also. I doubt it had much to do with Solis weight. I think he will come back lighter, even after the long layoff he will have! Solis and his trainer are a good team, they will come back and Solis time will come! Mark my words! This guys has all the tools you need and when he comes back in better shape the sky is the limit for this guy.
