He arguably only had one loss and that was too Trinidad when he was passed his prime and still fought with a broken jaw that happened earlier in the fight.

He obviously ****d Ramirez in THE WORST decision in boxing history. He arguably beat Oscar on my scorecard he did. And he would have owned that bum on ESPN if he didn't have that career ending arm injury in that fight.
lol dude relax it was a joke. have you ever seen the brian kenny interview? Mayweather always brings up the fact that an opponent has a couple of losses to imply that they are bums, and i think its hilarious

I would probably like Whittaker via close decision, but one thing that hasn't been discussed that could be a slight issue is that Whittaker was sometimes prone to flash knockdowns due to balance issues (not because he was actually hurt). With 2 guys with a similar skill set and style that could be a big factor.

Showboating and dipping low sometimes, I doubt he does that against Floyd though.

also it would work quite well against Mayweather's style of defense since he always keeps his left hand low. He usually reacts by shoulder rolling right hands, but Whitaker's jab was fast and never left him off balance. because it forces him to move his head, Whitaker could measure the left hand based on Mayweather reaction.

Maybe it wouldnt land a huge amount, but as a setup tool I think it would be very significant. so it would still play a pretty big part.
Mayweather does keep his left low often but he's not one way all the time. He can come forward behind a high guard, as he did against Judah and Mosley. I would expect him to be the aggressor and try to walk Whitaker down. A prime Pea slowed down a bit in the later rounds IMO. Azumah Nelson, who was never quite comfortable above 130, had small success walking Pea down and so did Ramirez. I think a bigger and even more talented Mayweather would do better. But that jab of Whitaker and those legs. I don't see Floyd doing enough to overcome them. Pea was just too diverse and he wasn't afraid to get his hands dirty in the trenches. Plus, he'd walk Floyd into a couple hard, clean lefts. Landed that punch on everyone and it wasn't a tap either. A prime Pea is perhaps the best fighter of the past 25 years.

Whitaker is dominating the polls. Kinda surprising imo. I voted for him too but I'm sshocked the *****s didn't bomb this thread and have Mayweather running away with it.

I agree, I do see Mayweather trying to walk down Whitaker behind his guard. he generally does do that against southpaws.

I just dont see it working. Whitaker was just too complete.

The most trouble Ive seen Whitaker have stylistically was against wild guys that were difficult to predict, most notably in my mind Jorge Paez. Mayweather even in his walking down style is very convential, I cant see him doing something like Paez did.

Co-sign. It's a shame that Pea had his out-of-ring issues that slowed him somewhat. He was the type of fighter that could've lasted until he was 40 if he put his mind to it. He was virtually unbeatable for a long time.

Whitaker would win easily. His defense and jab are both better than Mayweathers. Sweet Pea would win UD 11 rounds to 1.
