    I was thinking the same thing! He knows that Donaire has a bright future and wants to make more money off of him, but if he does indeed get out of his contract and go to GBP, then his wife will be a tart and Bob will do everything in his power to discredit Donaire and make him out to be the villian. Good 'ol Uncle Bob being the scumbag hood rat that he is...

      Also, for the record, Vic Darchynian is the undisputed champion of nothing, just a has-been who was exposed as a loud-mouthed punk by Donaire when he knocked him the f**k out! Live with it, and learn to read...

          The thing is, Bob promised Donaire some huge fights after his destruction of Vic Darch. What he got was several bouts vs no-names on meaningless PPV cards that nobody bought. Arum then got Donaire the big fight vs Montiel because he knew that Donaire was unhappy with his handling. When Donaire did better than anyone expected, now all of a sudden Bob is interested in getting him the big fights? I don't buy that! Bob would/will still abuse Donaire if he stays in his stable...

          I believe GBP must've offered him guaranteed paydays that were above and beyond what Bob was offering. Why else would he leave? It's clear as day. All Bob had to do was put him on ONE Pacquiao undercard and he would be known, period. He didn't and had publically stated "One Filipino is enough!" And when he said he couldn't afford to was bull****. Donaire didn't make **** for all those chumps he fought, he could've been an opening bout on a Pac card. He drowned in the dulldrums of Bob's fighters and paid the price with nothing fights except for the last one...

            Harvard Law and worked in the Nixon Administration...yeah..I'd say Arum is a pro!! It's obvious Donaire does NOT want Top Rank as his promoter and will probably end up with Golden Boy. So I predict that Arum will get a piece of Donaire's future fights....just like Golden Boy got a piece of Pacquiao when Pacquiao breached his contract with Top Rank and signed with Golden Boy years ago.

              Way too much racism on these boards, it's always easier to talk **** behind a computer though. Is his (or anybody else's) opinion less valid because of their race? Stick to the subject

                And what where the big fights arum could've gotten him? please share.

                only one i can think of was the darchynian rematch, which gary shaw killed to punish nonito for his disloyalty.

                and donaire was also injured that first year, how was that arum's fault?

                fact is arum got him the biggest fight of his career which turned him into a an emerging superstar, and was getting a unification fight for his next bout for 500k.

                As for the undercard thing, donaire commands 250k a fight as per his contract. Can't expect to be on a Pac undercard and also expect to be paid that much, with most of the money used to gaurantee Pac his 10-15 million and his opponents' multiple millions, and with very little used for the undercard fighters.

                    Nonito should have stuck to the deal until he was sure about the contract.

                      Rachel = Dumb
                      Donaire = Dumber
                      Schaeffer = Dumbest

                      Petrocelli = Smart
                      Weinstein = Smarter
                      Arum = Smartest

                      Burstein = ******! If Schaeffer's comment two weeks ago that they consulted with their lawyers before signing Donaire is true then Judd Burstein should be fired as he is one ****** lawyer. Weinstein didn't do anything but stated the obvious; the common sense that a normal human being would know.
