Why is Arum ecstatic for?? I thought he said Donaire doesn't have any fans? Since he's all about $$$$$$.

I was thinking the same thing! He knows that Donaire has a bright future and wants to make more money off of him, but if he does indeed get out of his contract and go to GBP, then his wife will be a tart and Bob will do everything in his power to discredit Donaire and make him out to be the villian. if donaire has problems in dealing with Bob, then he will most likely ALSO have problems with Golden Boy.

The thing is, Bob promised Donaire some huge fights after his destruction of Vic Darch. What he got was several bouts vs no-names on meaningless PPV cards that nobody bought. Arum then got Donaire the big fight vs Montiel because he knew that Donaire was unhappy with his handling. When Donaire did better than anyone expected, now all of a sudden Bob is interested in getting him the big fights? I don't buy that! Bob would/will still abuse Donaire if he stays in his stable...

I believe GBP must've offered him guaranteed paydays that were above and beyond what Bob was offering. Why else would he leave? It's clear as day. All Bob had to do was put him on ONE Pacquiao undercard and he would be known, period. He didn't and had publically stated "One Filipino is enough!" And when he said he couldn't afford to was bull****. Donaire didn't make **** for all those chumps he fought, he could've been an opening bout on a Pac card. He drowned in the dulldrums of Bob's fighters and paid the price with nothing fights except for the last one...

This is what happens when a bunch of amateurs go against a pro like Arum. Like a little chihuahua that gets thrown a bone by a dumb kid. The chihuahua happily takes it without knowing the bone belonged to the pitbul next door, who of course when he realizes his bone is missing and sees the little naive chihuahua happily playing around goes and bites hiss head off.

only one i can think of was the darchynian rematch, which gary shaw killed to punish nonito for his disloyalty.

and donaire was also injured that first year, how was that arum's fault?

fact is arum got him the biggest fight of his career which turned him into a an emerging superstar, and was getting a unification fight for his next bout for 500k.

As for the undercard thing, donaire commands 250k a fight as per his contract. Can't expect to be on a Pac undercard and also expect to be paid that much, with most of the money used to gaurantee Pac his 10-15 million and his opponents' multiple millions, and with very little used for the undercard fighters.
