I think people are not reading the above article correctly. All they did was rule that GBP didn't have the right to sign Donaire because it hasn't been proven whether Top Rank has breached the contract or not. If Donaire wins that, then he will become a free agent and then GBP can re-sign him. So, it's still not over yet. Top Rank won the first battle but hasn't won the war yet.

But, if Donaire doesn't become free then Top Rank has him by the balls. And with all the **** Bob talked about his wife, this could get ugly. I wonder how much it would cost to put a hit out on a scumbag like Bob? I am not saying anybody should do that, just wondering aloud since I am sure people have thought about it before...

I hear you but it is still not a good look for him. This is going to have some affect on his career because I think this is only the beginning to what is to come.

WOW! I thought Golden Boy really investigated and thought this through with legal advice? What a dumb move on the part of Golden Boy promotions. Why are they paying all this money to these lawyers if they can't even figure out a simple thing like this and know it will not be in their best interest? Looks like Nonito Donaire is going to be on the shelve for awhile.

That's what I thought at first, but come to think of it. GBP managed to piss Arum off, and in return, Arum could play his usual self by being a d!ck and might put Donaire, a potential Top Rank moneymaker on freeze mode until his contract with Top Rank expires. GBP succeeded in messing up Donaire's relation with Top Rank and vice-versa.

Are they (GBP and cohorts) really that smart and devious? Did they put the ultimate con on the best grifter in boxing?

wow, gbp are some dummies...feel bad for nonito to have to deal with this instead of getting ready for another fight. he brought it upon himself though, shouldve checked if everything was good to go before signing something man..hopefully this all gets settled soon.

This is exactly right. Nonito is a professional fighter and he needs a professional team and that includes his MANAGER. I have nothing against his wife, but I think having his wife as his manager sends the wrong message and makes him look like an amateur, ***** whipped kind of guy.

This is the same thing that happened with Pacquiao when he signed with GB while he still had a contract with TR. It will have the same end result, Doanire will stay with TR.

Arum can throw him in there with Juanma or Gamboa at 130 hoping to ruin him before kicking him in the curb.

This legal war it's actually Donaire's fault. He should have thought about it but then again he sign a contract right after the fight with montiel? he could have at least got some rest and think about what to do next. Maybe it went up to his head once he knocked Montiel out in 2 rounds and got too greedy with the money. I stil would watch him fight on youtube but not on PPV; i feel it's not worth it yet. DOnaire! you should have been vacationing right now and enjoying the fruit of your labor instead your thinking about your future if your ever gonna fight soon, real soon which i doubt.
