bob didn't trash nonito at all in this interview. all he said was that nonito is filipino american with an emphasis on american and that he can't connect to the filipino population in the same way pac can/does.

if he's such hot garbage, then let him go to GBP and move the **** on
I think Bob has no more interest on Nonito coz the soup taste sour now. His only interest is to impede Nonito's boxing career to get even and/or to teach him a lesson.

To some who says he is not Filipino, 90% he is still a Filipino by culture. He is just misjudge of being ****y but truly he is a nice, meek and humble kid. It's the delilah factor behind him who is controlling media publicity, bashing and badmouthing most of the detractors. believe it or not, Rachel has a network of bloggers feeding and monitoring comments on facebook, twitter, forums, comment on boxing articles and etc. It's an effective way of trending opinions.

Talking of boxing skills? He is no extra ordinary complete skill set arsenal yet, But to be fair he has a very superior left hook if not the greatest "lead" left hook of his era. He also has excellent speed and timing, intelligent fighter, great mental toughness and also an exciting fighter.

Yea but, I've never heard Arum say that before..... why say it now ?

And if he thought that before, then why not promote him on Pac's undercard ?

A couple of good fights on Manny's undercard would have blown Nonito up and gave him a fan base and connection with the Phillippean people. I would think that the Phillippean people would appreciate another fighter from their country because there are not many. Arum is full of it.

First of G, it's "Filipinos", not Phillippean people.

I wholeheartedly agree with you though. Bob Arum said that there won't be any extra PPV buys even if Donaire was on Pacquiao's undecard, because he knows that all he needs is a Pacquiao fight to corner all of the Filipino market. He wasn't thinking long term for Donaire. His "Pinoy Power" PPVs with Donaire on it could've done well if he showcased the guy as an undercard on any of the Pacquiao's fights, but since we know he's that greedy, he tried to nickle and dime his Pinoy buyers...

Thanks for the correction. I agree with the rest of your statement. Bob Arum could have got Donaire intouch with the Filipinos for sure. Filipinos seem to be happy to support their country man and seem very focused on doing just that. It was all in Bob Arum's hands. He was his promoter and is a promoter in general. Bob does things on his own time and what best suits him. All of the potential big stars left Arum because they felt the same as Donaire and Rachel are feeling now. After watching Donaire, I'm sure with the right guidance that the kid can be a HUGE name in the sport. He is a Pinoy but he can have a connection with both the country and American Filipinos. Broader market because he can speak English.

I agree there is a difference between Pacquiao and Donaire; it's their upbringing. I didn't say they are different at all but in a sense attitude and personality collides. I could relate to both fighters but Donaire is ****y in a typical Fil-Am way which Philippines doesn't admire..
