Mikey Garcia is the complete package as a fighter.

    he's not blindingly fast
that and his professional approach is what sets him apart from most top tier prospects / fledgeling contenders

that and he's a FW with a killer punch in both hands

He's Rocky Juarez with killer instinct. IMO.

He's a good fighter nothing special, Gamboa and Juanma would both wreck him.

He went all out on Remillard as soon as he had him hurt late.

He did the same in his last fight.

By "killer instinct" I mean hes a good finisher. He can take it to a different gear late.

Rocky fought at the same pace his whole career. Steve Kim described him as being stuck in second gear. Rocky could have been undisputed Champion if his fights had been 15 rounders. He needed 11 to warm-up.

Garcia is a much more skillful, intelligent fighter than Rocky Juarez.

Remillard was having some sort of problem with his ear and was looking for either his corner or the ref to stop the fight for about 1 or 2 rounds. He had too much pride and didnt want to quit but i think it was obvious to Garcia that the kid was looking to get out and imo he did what any fighter would do and went in for the kill.

Rocky was a very technically skilled fighter having won a silver medal. An amateur record of 145-17.

                  He had all the tools.

                  Power and good fundamentals.

He just always seemed to fail against the elite.

Rocky had a hard time increasing his workrate during the fight. He fought a very measured pace and only picked it up in the 11th or 12th round.

He could hang with them, MAB, Chris John. JMM, Soto

If Garcia can beat the elite he will surpass Rocky.

But as of now hes in a very similar situation to Rocky.

Garcia has yet to fight his Humberto Soto.

                    Not Rocky.

He would have waited til the 12th round and then halfheartedly would have gone for the kill.

And probably would have loss a SD.

                      better two handed puncher

maybe not as brutal with the hook. maybe not quite as technical.

and i dont see him having trouble pulling the trigger like rocky did throughout his entire career.
he waits too long, though like juarez.

roy jones told it like it was when he said that garcia waits for opportunities.
                      o
                      i like the comparison

he's maybe a better athlete than juarez as well.

maybe we're giving him a hard time here.
this was his first fight on a big stage.
                      perhaps he wanted rounds.
