then why do people make such a big deal all the time, dissing his catchweights, which have been part of boxing for a long time, but why do they call him the cathcweight king, he's only had 2.. i mean.. i dont get it

you can disect the cotto and marg victories as they were catchweights and neither of them were at their best but the hatton victory was a solid victory

Because they are BS, we have already got weight limits. If you want to win a title beat the holder at his best at the proper weight limit, not at some BS catchweight limit that will take something out of him before the fight.

the only one you can question are cotto and margarito, being catchweights

marquez- could of gone either way.. split decision....

diaz- destroyed him

hatton- destroyed him..

it takes 2 people to sign... so therefore i count it as a legitimate win..

the other fighter does not have to sign for a catchweight match, but if he does, then it is legitimate in my view
