I think Pirog and Lee would be a good match up.

Nope, Martinez cant force anyone to fight him because of the emeritius status, He can position himself into a mandatory place to fight but thats if he was away from the sport or injured or something, Because he is still active i doubt he can do that, And i dont see Arum ever putting Chavez in there with Martinez if Chavez beat Zbik.

Oh ok. Thanks for clarifying that. Arum ain't going to put none of his fighters in the ring with another fighter that he knows will win or has a chance to win. Arum has already accquired that reputation. Not only from boxing fans opinions but also in the sport. I think Sergio best bet is to keep fighting guys that are regarding as good fights for him and to keep winning. Sturm and Martinez is not a bad fight to make at all.

Fam, it is NO USE because all they see is Pac and since Martinez called Pac out on his ****. All Pac fans have went bananas and running with this Martinez only picks on small guys crap. How could any TRUE BOXING FAN, make a statement like that? It's not even true. Just take a look at my sig and it says it all about where these guys minds are.

That's probably the way it SHOULD BE, but Sulaiman is another SCUMBAG & would work around that to protect Chavez jr & to make more maney charging both(Chavez jr & Martinez)sanctioning fees to defend their belts....

U should have said last 4 opponents & thrown the Cintrón pick in there too, cause Cintrón was also taller than Martinez..By ian inch, Maritnez 5'10" & Cintrón 5'11", but still taller..

I am a Pac fan and have never criticized Martinez. In fact, I actually defended him that he in fact deserves a soft touch in his next fight after all the tough fights he has been in. And, if he continues and beats any of these other two fighters, I think he will deserve the P4P #1 position (which right now I have him at number 2): Sturm, Pirog, Andy Lee, Angulo, winner of Chavez Jr vs. Zbik (which if it's Chavez, no way Arum lets the fight happen) or even James Kirkland if he can get some defense going. Two wins against those guys for the most part puts him there if Pacquiao keeps on his current path.

The people saying Martinez is only calling out smaller guys is because he called out Pacquiao and Mayweather, both whom only one fought above 147 lbs. But anyone with half a brain knows he called them out for two reasons: a) because he can make more money fighting them than anyone else and b) he has a good chance of beating both of them. So, I don't hate on the guy for asking for the money fights. I have grown to really like Martinez. He bored the **** out of me vs. Cintron but after that, he has truly developed into a special fighter.

So, in short, here is one Pac fan who doesn't hate on Sergio but really likes the guy and is happy somebody other than Timothy Bradley is willing to fight the best...

The WBC ****ted on Martinez too many times. If they were real about the sport they would make that crab **** up to Martinez for basically giving a true fighter a hard time to rep their brand.

Then my previous post does not apply to you but you know that it is going around on this site. For those who are saying it, needs to realize that Floyd Mayweather Jr beat Oscar De La Hoya for the 154LB WBC title so he can fight there if he wants. Pac may fit the too small category because he couldn't officially hang at that weight but he shouldn't even went there if he knew beforehand that he wouldn't be there long enough to defend the title. Not trying to have this discussion again but why blame Martinez for wanting to fight 2 guys who won titles at that weight? He is not picking on smaller guys but P4P fighters who fought there. Now he realizes that Pacquiao and Mayweather ain't possible so he has moved on, so this "picking on smaller guys" movement is lame because he ain't even stressing them anymore on top of that. His past opponents were all taller/bigger than him. Martinez doesn't have to pick on no one because he fights whoever. After his recent wins. Homie is looking to capatilize on his fame and can't blame him for that. He tried to fight Angulo TWICE and BOTH times Angulo priced himself out. Ducking Pirog? Not a reality for me.
