Pirog has done nothing to earn a shot against Sergio.

so I hear Pirog looked kinda suspect last night, well he needs to fight some highly ranked contenders before thinking about Sergio. Martinez isnt some wet behind the ear 22 yr old prospect, he's a grown man who'll lay you the **** out...

On Saturday night in Ekaterinburg, Russia - Pirog had a much tougher than expected time in winning a twelve round unanimous decision over optional challenger Javier Francisco Maciel (18-2, 12KOs). The scores were 115-112, 117-110 and 115-111.

Good call Lewkowicz, Pirog can go fight somebody in the top 20 before he calls out the lineal middleweight champ.

The Pirog / Martinez situation is ridiculous.

You can't seriously think that Martinez is ducking Pirog ?

Jeez, Sergio seriously KTFO that kid if they fight right now.

Why does everybody wanna see Pirog get broken ?

Great post, aint this a hoot ?

It wasn't a nice try, that guy made that exact same comment a few days and a number of posters mentioned those same names.

He chose not to comprehend, it was a p1ss-poor try.

                  Pirog should be fighting Manfredo.

I heard quite a bit about Pirog prior to the Jacobs bout but, even then, beating Jacobs doesn't mean much. Just don't understand the notion that Martinez is ducking him. Laughable, really.
Have you heard a non-Pachugger suggest that? Nuff said.

That would get him another title (I think Pirog would beat Sturm) and make the Sergio fight more attractive...

In the meantime, it looks like we will be stuck with Manfredo. I am not really looking forward to that fight but HBO looks to be on-board since Manfredo is somewhat known from the Contender series. Sergio has earned a softer touch though and as long as he goes for someone tough afterward, I won't hold it against him...
Arum aint gonna feed Chavez to Martinez, and I am not sure if Pirog beats Sturm?
