In Boxing, Which Nationality is most respected?

Cubans don't mess around...they have these large government funded boxing camps for youths, all around cuba...and they all compete against each other. And of course all the kids in each camp are always sparring each other. I hear their training emphasizes more shadowboxing, something like 'for every 12 rounds, we shadowbox 10' or something like that I heard a guy say once.

Very true, government supported and a high expectancy of doing well internationally competing in the amateur circuits around the world. They have a rich long boxing history and before all the problems they had with the US they had great champs back in the day with a refined technic

PRs and blacks have lived side by side in ways Mexicans and blacks will NEVER be able to live. This is not about me being "racist," but about me responding to the Mexican BS on this forum. The Mexican obsession with who has black blood and who doesn't is well documented on this forum. Maybe not all of you engage in this BS, but a large percentage do.

I'd hope most would say Americans. To gain respect you do it through decades of greatness and no nation comes close to what America has and continues to do in the sport of boxing. Mexico would be second because of the machoness they bring to the ring but they don't get nearly the same respect in my eyes as Americans do. American fighters throughout the history of the sport have been looked at as real athletes. Mexicans on the other hand(no disrespect)have usually been looked at as unskilled brawlers. There is a huge difference in the respect level from the casual boxing fan when you compare Americans to Mexicans. Both great boxing nations but both looked at far differently.

If you saw two unknown fighters fighting each other. Lets say Mexico and Italy (random) you know that the Mexican is gonna come to fight (and well i know that the history of Mexicans fighters and what they bring so he would have my respect but unless he is like a total douche )
