if its all about money, then martinez should realize that pac is in it for the money too, not to sit atop some mythical p4p list and stop contradicting himselfOriginally posted by vallejoarmy View PostI agree that he contradicts himself but calling out Pac will render him a great payday and if he defeats him will also set him atop of the p4p list which has been a dream of his. Cotto will just give him a payday. Is all about the money these days. Sorry, but if I were in Martinez's shoes, I would do the same. It might not make sense to boxing fans, but it does make sense monetary wise.

Who give a **** if his Sergio can make 30mills for a fight against Cotto, it's that fact that he critized Pac for fighting a no-hopper in Cotto but he wants Cotto.Originally posted by figzuki View PostCotto's the number 2 attraction in boxing right now (active), payday would be huge for both fighters, the fight would be awesome, and it would get Martinez a lot more fans since those two guys are classy.
You have to remember since Sergio has been winning big fights, his name is growing, he wants big names to add to his resume, so if he does beat Cotto, and other big name in the sport, He'll be the guy everyone's chasing, like Pacquiao....

you see people like u are why this site is messed up, where does Martinez say Cotto is a no hoper, he's actually saying Cotto is one of the best bro, and wants to fight him, do u have trouble with reading comprehension, or are u just locked in one opinion?Originally posted by Pullcounter View Postso you feel sorry for martinez?

True, True. But does Martinez have the popularity with the casual boxing fans? IMO, he doesn't and thus will not give Pac as big as a payday as Mosley which has better name recognition among the casual boxing fan. The fight between Pac and Martinez would only make monetary sense for Martinez and not so much Pac.Originally posted by Pullcounter View Postif its all about money, then martinez should realize that pac is in it for the money too, not to sit atop some mythical p4p list and stop contradicting himself
