This aint AT&T dude what has he done lately? Target guys coming off HUGE losses. Im a real boxing fan. No other noteworthy champion in the history of the sport had this long streak of fighting fighters coming off huge losses. Pacroid started this **** watching the Barerra/Morales feud from the sidelines, then went after them in the middle of their rivalry. Top Prank is the champion of hype and clever matchmaking. Real great fighters go after fighters that haven't been beaten or fighters on a winning streak not the wounded.

You do realize the first Barrera vs pacquaio fight that it was barrera tune up fight and supposed to be an easy win. It was a big upset at the time.

Pacquaio fought Barrera at absolute prime and his biggest winning streak and broke the mans will.

And also Pacquaio has done lately is actually equal to what martinez has done lately. Outside of Pavlik and Paul williams..which equal out to pacquaio hatton and cotto win.what has martinez has done. The hatred for pacquaio is getting out of control to the point that Andre Berto becomes a threat even though most boxing fans feels that Margarito, Cotto, and clottey now would beat that questionable chin cherry picker. Now that martinez has 2 good wins that he is the savior of the sport even though he is older than pacquaio....both have 0 amatuer background...but yet pacquaio has a far better resume than Martinez.

First of all I got your dumbass! Furthermore if Pac is so equal or above Martinez why not cut the BS and accept the fight? I know right? That's the bottom line. Williams would beat every guy Manny has fought and you and the world knows it. Nobody is hating on Pac real boxing fans wanna see him live up to the hype. Manny caught Barrera slipping and you know it. With all the streaking and undefeated fighters fighting today there is no excuse for Manny to be constantly going after tainted fighters. Your clearly not a true fan if your not calling for an end to this BS. You couldn't be a fan of none of the greats that would fight anybody in their paths. I'm a huge Pacquiao fan and I wanna see this fight for two reasons:

1. I am extremely confident Manny beats this dude

2. Manny easily becomes top 10 (ATG wise) if not higher.

I think a lot of people here are missing the real point of what Martinez has been trying to say in his last few interviews. He KNOWS and continually admits that MANNY PACQUIAO IS TOO SMALL for a legitimate fight. Sergio's been saying this since his post fight interview after anhialating Paul Williams and several times in this very interview. After being given the FOTY award (which was said to be on the merits of Martinez's performance & opposition) over Pacquiao, and as badly as he wants to become the #1 PD4PD in the world, AND KNOWING THAT A FIGHT WITH PACQUIAO would be considered a mismatch (his own words) because of size - His best option for campaigning to beat Pacquiao for the #1 spot is to try to play the better performance & opposition card. HE KNOWS A PACQUIAO FIGHT IS NOT REALISTIC, therefore the only route he can go to overcome him in rankings is to go the "I looked better against better competition" route. And because a fight between Martinez and Pacquiao will A) probably never happen and B) could get him more criticism then anything (Sergio was too big - NOT MY WORDS) then he is going the only sensable and realistic path that he can go. This is a smart move by Martinez and I don't think he's doing anything wrong by trying to campaign for the #1 spot without having to actually fight a man that he himself believes is TOO SMALL. People are taking his words too much out of context. This is not about fighting Pacquiao in the ring, it's about stating his case on his merits vs Pacquiaos merits.

Side Note: This could be another plus for the fans because maybe this will make Pacquiao stand up against Arum and his "offered opponents", and make more fights that the "real" fans want to see. Time for Manny to stand up and tell Arum who HE wants to fight. After all, Pacquiao is supposed to be all about "giving the fans what they want", right?
