People don't seem to understand how grueling and physically demanding grappling and wrestling is. Which doesn't surprise me really, after all, this is a boxing websites full of people who are "If it ain't boxing, it sucks" so I'm not shocked.

With that said, both are extremely physically demanding sports but from what a lot of the guys that have experience in both sports the general concensus i hear is, "MMA in the gym, Boxing in the ring"

in grappling (jiu jitsu), your not supposed to use your energy, isnt the whole point using leverage and your oppenents size and strength against him/her? and there is no way mma could be above boxing, boxers are more talented than mma fighters

dont listen to that idiot. boxing matches are much longer, boxers use heavier equipment, boxing rings are usually smaller regulation plus there are corners as opposed to octagons which means a fighter has no choice but to move more or get knocked out. furthermore, boxers where the heavier gloves with more padding. ppl think this is a good thing, but this means more damage in the long run because the padding makes it harder to get knocked out which means u will take a greater amount of blows to the head.

anyone who knows enough and watches the two sports a lot would tell u boxing is more long distance and mma is much more of a sprint.
