Solis looked like he was holding his own & actually could reach Vitali's head when he countered.
It was shaping up to be a great fight..the rd was about to end & all of a sudden Solis was down on a delayed reaction. Replays clearly showed that the punch did NOT look hard enough to do what it did...it was Solis being aggressive lunging at Vitali & he caught him on the way in as his head was exposed coming in on Vitali.
He got caught with a shot right on the temple..had a delayed reaction to it & his body slowly crumbled just Like a dominoe effect..& as he was stumbling down his knee & ankle got twisted (ala Michael Grant vs Mccline).
You have to be pretty crazy to throw a fight that you're competing in & at the same time injuring yourself while faking it on the way down. Replays clearly showed what happened with his legs when he was about to taste the canvas. He tried to get up..but couldn't stand upright.. No conspiracy here..this guy clearly came to compete as evidenced by the first rd... I would have a rematch with him if I were Vitali.
YoU try to rush Vitali & those things can happen as you're putting yourself at risk by creating an opening. Now you see why Kevin Johnson didn't want to just lunge in against him. Vitali was clearly pumped for him..knew what a threat & great boxer Solis was.
He was angry because he probably felt he didn't hit Solis hard enough for him not to want to continue...he just didn't see what happened with Solis' legs on the way down. & Yes PEOPLE it was Vitali's punch that caused this..he wouldn't of injured himself otherwise & he certainly didn't slip.. As the replays from all angles come out you will see this but in the mean time..don't **** with Vitali Klitschko or say ANYONE can beat him legitimately unless you got proof of it>>> kapish!

Solis didn't have the slightest trace of disappointment on his face, in fact he looked the opposite before and after the fight. Is it not possible that he had this planned out, thought he'd try his luck throwing a few good shots, then fall after taking a small punch (which wasn't even on the temple), quiver his leg a little, and then limp..all the way to the bank?

Clearly you never boxed a round. Vitali was hitting gloves... Solis was winning the round and just got caught. Solis landed at least 2 nice right hands.. was the audio on your tv broke? Even the announcers commented on how Solis was landing. You must be the moron... turn on your audio genius.

1) This was 100% clearly a knockdown from a temple shot that landed no matter how flush or hard.
2) the temple shot cause Solis to lose his equilibrium and possibly caused him to roll his ankle in the process of trying to steady himself.
3) The problem Solis was having trying to get up had way, way more to do with being punch drunk than being injured.
Take a second to think about what has happens any time ever when a fighter was injured. They point their glove at the injured spot and motion to the ref.
Solis did nothing of the sort.
Result? LEGIT KO FROM A PUNCH.
END OF THREAD.
(Nobody complained when Tyson used to KO guys in 1 or two rounds, it should be no different now that the Klitschko's do it occasionally even though it is more calculation than aggression)
