I definitely think Nonito should have stayed with Top Rank, not because I am a fan of Arum, which I am not, but because I think they are the better company, and have the better stable of fighters. Like any really boxing fans, I hate the promoters of this sport, and Arum is no different, but I would still take him over Golden Boy.
I do agree with his wife though, Nonito should have been the main undercard fight on all of Manny's last 4 mega fights. Instead he tried to put guys like Pavlik, Duddy, Chavez, fighters with a following but with absolutely no potential for superstar status. Not to mention Nonito is half Filipino, entertaining, highly skilled and has held a major title for like the last 4 years, since knocking out Vic.

bob arum took donaire for granted & basically pushed him to the side & only cared about pacquiao, cotto, & juan ma lopez. there was no need for arum to really take care of donaire since arum already has the pinoy fanbase with manny. career wise, better move for donaire to go to top rank who will pay donaire what bob never will due to the fact that golden boy needs donaire while arum doesnt. arum has been ***ing donaire for the last couple years & he paid dearly for it.

Arum & pinoys dont deserve donaire.

Well, all Arum has is WV2, Gamboa and Juanma who could be potential Donaire opponents, but Juanma will be moving up to 130 lbs soon and possibly beyond by the time Donaire gets to 126 lbs. So, in actuality, Arum only has two fighters. GBP also is in bed with HBO which almost guarantees more HBO fights for Donaire than Arum, instead of low budget cheesy PPV cards that nobody pays for. If Donaire's attorneys are correct that the contract is no longer valid, I believe this is a good move for him. And don't get that I am a GBP fan or anything, I think all promoters are scumbags but from a business standpoint, I think Arum didn't Donaire justice until it was too late...

                  Donaire may be suffering...

This is what happens if a woman enters the picture..much more a wife to be a business manager. She might be a smart girl but in this world of boxing and promotions she should leave it to the pros. Arum may not want Donaire in the Pacquiao undercard for a reason...I believe that Arum does not want that Donaire shall be overshadowed by Pacquiao or if Nonito performed too well that there would not anybody stealing each others popularity. Donaire could be developed separately, and with Arum's savvy that is highly possible. Arum knows the strings.
Now, what if Nonito stumbles (I hope not) and lose his next fight. Who will pick him up? There will be lots of second guessings, blaming each other, should have's, could have's and might be too late. And Nonito would just fade away.

He doesn't have the Filipino support. Fighters make it on their own, not piggybacking on the shows of other fighters.
yeah, nonito is already a main crowd drawer himself already, specially with his win over montiel...pac is where he is right now thru his own merit and let us say also by divine grace...life is just like that...there are times when the amount of rain that falls on one man's head is more than the guy beside him..
