His wife has torn down his credibility amongst alot of filipino's and will continue to do so until Donaire mans up.

That beef with his family and some of his actions were not a good look at all....and I heard he lost alot of respect for that.

I happen to agree with this! Arum stated it would have cost too much to put Donaire on any of the Pacquiao undercards? Really, how much did Donaire make for guys like Luis Maldonado, Rafael Concepcion or Manuel Vargas? Bob Arum knew that nobody knew who Donaire was and he wouldn't boost any PPV sales on a Pacquiao card. That is why he left him off and put him on ****ty Pinoy Power PPVs that nobody purchased. The only reason Donaire got the Montiel fight is because Bob was afraid Donaire would leave...

And just think about it this way? Who has a great connection and does mass business with HBO, Arum or GBP? If you know the answer to that question, you know why Donaire left. Arum fed him bums and now he is looking for better promotion and fights not on low budget cheesy PPVs. I don't blame Donaire for making a move...

Don't worry, Filipino's are a bunch of frontrunners, as soon as he starts tearing **** up again and PAC leaves, who are they gonna support? Concepcion?

Well, if you read any articles after the Montiel vs. Donaire fight, you would see that the Donaire family made up and are back on good terms again. And you can bet dollars to donuts that if/when Donaire gets back on TV, they are going to play up that angle...

Also, I think the whole family disputes thing is inconsequential for the most part. Roy Jones Jr didn't suffer in popularity when he was feuding with his father. Floyd Mayweather Jr didn't suffer in popularity when he was feuding with his babbling idiot father. And Pacquiao ran away from home when he was a teenager and his father just saw him fight for the first time recently. Did his popularity suffer due to that?

Sorry, but your argument that 'Donaires beef with his family' has lost him respect means little to nothing. All Donaire has to do is continue winning impressively and all that will go away and nobody will think about it. Just ask Floyd Jr...

people need to get off rachel donaire's nuts.... she's not robin givens, the points she makes are well thought out....

and she's right... exposing an up and coming fighter (which is what donaire was) on a pacquiao card would have brought about more publicity for him and he could have adopted pacquiao's fans....

boxing's a business.... so if you're not thinking about the financial side - you're a loser.... you'll be fighting until your 50.... so the better you plan your career, and marketing strategies the more capable you will be on exiting on top.... and not a depleted fighter looking for that last big pay day...

and rachel donaire's sexy as hell.... so **** the haters.

                arum is right

she's a terrible infuence on nonito

                he's a friggin bantamweight

they are generally not on a pay scale anywhere near the higher weight classes

it's been the case in the sport for as long as it's been around.

arum was going to make nonito a star
he's got tremendous clout with philipinos

is rachel going to complain about money while simultaneously asking for him to be on UNDERCARDS!?

does she have any idea what the budget for an undercard usually looks like?

doesnt she also get that the casual fan tunes in for a main event and little else?
or that the prospect of a fight at 118 usually sends them to the fridge for more beer?

when you're hearing more about a fighter's wife than a top tier p4p fighter
                she's GOT TO GO

I also don't blame Nonito, he has all the right to seek what he thinks is greener pasture for him... but his timing is BAD. Arum could throw a monkey wrench at his boxing career due to the bad timing. Nonito should have waited for his contract with arum to expire cleanly with no gray areas.

The one thing I didn't understand why Donaire did as such. Konting panahon nalang yun kung tutuusin.

It could be bad timing but obviously Donaire's and GBP's lawyers think they have a strong case or they would have let him be. Everything Bob could be saying is true but there could be more that he is not saying. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out but it looks like GBP is setting up a fight with Donaire in late June, which is supposedly right after Arum's contract runs out. I hope Donaire doesn't get shelved for too long a period either, he is in his prime right now and riding high...
