Exactly. If anyone's been facing "Plodders" its Pac... funny how people twist things to justify there agenda.

Martinez has been fighting Top fighters in there respected weight class while Pac's fighting someone else's left overs. Clottey, Margarito and Mosley all have one thing in common. Haven't won a fight in over 2 years.

Opposition wise since 2010, Martinez trumps Mayweather and Pac. Mayweather's 1 fight with Mosley trumps Pac's 2 fights with Clottey and Margarito.

Popularity wise Mayweather trumps Pac while Pac trumps Martinez.

When speaking of "plodders" that's Pac's favorite as he doesn't like moving targets or defensive counter punchers. Clottey and Margarito ATG Plodders.

Nah bro, they're just plodders, period. But Josh "the punching bag" Clottey, is the best sparring partner in pro boxing. Good post.

Cotto at 145, Clottey who didn't even fight back and Margarito at a 150 catchweight when he lost by dominate KO in one fight and looked not good in his other tune up fight? Cotto was damaged goods (Would have been better at 147). Explain why some have Donaire ranked over Martinez when he was on the low for awhile until Montiel? Listen, no one can take away what Manny Pacquiao has accomplished in the sport of boxing but to say Cotto/Clottey/Margarito were better fighters and wins than Pavlik/Williams/Sergei is clearly not looking at the big picture. You have your opinion and I have mine though.
I don't care if Sergei is a good fighter, Sergio is on another level thats my point. Cotto at 145 didn't mean jack ****, Cotto did awful in that fight because he didn't have a trainer for his last two, just look at the difference in the way they did something as simple as hitting the mitts. I'm not saying its easy to hit the mitts accurately from experience I know it isn't but the way Cotto and his lackey did it... IDK why I thought he had a chance. How you do it in the gym is how you will do in the fight. Nonito over Sergio... IDK its a toss up really who comes first I think. Vic and Montiel are some pretty solid wins, not that Vic is any good but he was looked at like a monster at that level.

As far as the match ups, I think Cotto was more dangerous than all three of them individually, but Clottey was a ****ty choice and Marg... he's done so I think those two were soft choices in comparison to Sergio but not Cotto.

I like em both but its hard to picture Floyd getting hit on a consistent basis against anyone... But I would agree that if anyone has a chance at beatin Floyd, the list begins at Sergio Martinez....

You could see the fear and stress in his eyes and body language(when he's waiting for the next round to begin). He was fortunate that the round ended and that the referee broke them up for about another 15+ seconds @ the beginning of the next round before they could engage. Arum should put him in vs Paulie Malignaggi in New York. Lotsa $$$ and little risk. If he can draw the way he did vs the ***ish kid in NYC he can draw that much more with all the Italians there.
I agree with everything you said... But putting him in with Paulie would just be submitting ourselves to the very politics of the business we dislike... Fights that mean nothing. He already had a great fight with Paulie... That being said I just don't see Paulie doing any better than he did that night (I could be wrong, just my opinion). Cotto now suffers from what I like to call Jermain Taylor/Roy Jones syndrome... He seems to be fighting sometimes like he is trying to avoid getting knocked out instead of being the seek and destroy guy who grew on all of us. His style used to be blood and guts and digging body shots... Now it is more technical (not a bad thing), patient, but VERY conservative... His shots seem to have lost their steam too... I saw the Cotto vs Judah bout recently... and I thought, "wow he's just not the same guy." He has learned to better defend himself and doesn't expose himself to shots as easily... But I agree that punches are grabbing his attention alot easier these days. The thing that strikes me is that I used to think that Cotto was miles ahead of Andre Berto... He is probably still ahead of the Berto's, Khan's, Alexander's, Judah's etc... But he is clinging on to the "A level fighter" status by a fingertip. I hope I'm wrong because I love how Cotto fights and carries himself but I have a bad feeling he won't leave the sport on a high note...

since when sergei become a middleweight?... oh right, that was his first fight at middleweight against martinez... cut the crap sergiosexual...

martinez had a year of great performance, while pacquiao had a decade of it... he even got a shiny trophy for that from the American press...

manny = cover of time magazine ; floyd = latest photo was a mugshot...

Did you seriously say that? Did you not see Martinez's last fight against a 154 champ who'd never fought a middleweight, AT 160?! After the fight, as a MIDDLEWEIGHT, Martinez called out WELTERS Pac and May to fight him AT 154! Who's trying to fight guys out of their division now? And, if he can make 154, why is he fighting a 154 champ at 160? Seriously, you Pac haters need to get a hobby.

You're the one twisting things to hate on Pac. Paul Williams isn't exactly a middleweight. Cintron had zero wins at 154. Pavlik was a good win, but no better than Pac's over Hatton. You seriously think Dzinziruk @160, P.Williams and Pavlik are that much better than Margarito, Clottey and Cotto? Hatton/Cotto/Clottey/Margarito in succession is every bit as impressive as Cintron/Williams/Pavlik/Dzinziruk, if not more. And if you bring up Mosley, I'll bring up Manfredo, I don't think you'd want too much of that debate lol
