SERGIO ON FIGHTING SUPER MIDDLEWEIGHTS "My body is not accustomed to that weight i need to pack on more muscle to be able to compete with them" = translation = 1 weight class is too big for him, then why the hell would you call out Small Welterweights, dont get me wrong i like sergio and how he fights, the excitement that he brings but he needs to look at bigger men to be able to become pound for pound #1 just like what PAC did...

thats total and utter BULLSHIAAT! martinez is a natural 154lb, and he fights at 160lbs also, he doesnt need to move up to prove hes number one in the eyes of many hes already number #1! pac keeps moving up and down and each time he does he faces the crappiest competetion with a name he can find! hows that make him number 1???? it doesnt, besides princess pacroid has fought and just won a belt at 154lbs , him running away the second somebody good at that weight class says alot about his legitamacy.hell pac wont even face the best at 147!!! pac is a hype job and his record proves it dude has never fought a single guy of their career or physical prime with the exception of jmm and clottey.mayweather and pac need each other lets face it neither guy has fought anybody very good.castillo and corrales (for fraud jr) , and jmm thats a LLOOOOOONG tIME AGO!

He seemed a little close guarded about those first couple questions. Is he always like that? He is completely right about the eventual move to 168, he just got to 160 and isn't exactly a big guy there. He would need some more fights to outgrow the ability to go back to 154.

He is being honest with himself. He can't wear a 168 frame and fight as effectively has he can at 154 and 160 at this point.

I'm sure, he can always pull a page from the Pacman's book and fight for the 168 title, by weight draining his opponent to 163, but come on I'm tired of seeing that $h!t.

Not really, he's basically admitting he's a blown up fighter himself. Basically it just means he is a bloated 154 fighter who beat up the 160 lb champion. Sergio is not really a MW, he's a really good SW fighter who managed to best the MW champ. Sure he's probably getting comfortable there...

He challenged himself (probably was having some trouble making 154 he is an older fighter) and just decided to campaign at 160 instead. It does not mean he can handle the fighters at 168. Those guys probably rehydrate to what? 180+ lbs... so now people want Sergio to challenge 180+ lb monsters?

I think he's calling out Pac to get his name out there. Deep down he knows Pacquiao will not step in the ring with him.
