dude...there is no doubt. maidana hits hard, but not like berto. berto has real power, i mean 1 hit ko power, something maidana has not shown nearly as much in his career. finally, maidana fights at jww and berto fights at ww. berto hit harder, if uve followed both guys careers this would be nearly undeniable.

Berto might have snappier punches but he does'nt have more power than Madaina. Maidana was born with that power he did't lift weights to do it. You can box your whole life and still never reach that power that a natural puncher has.

whether he was born with it or not, berto is bigger, stronger and hit hits harder at a higher weight. not to mention his punches are faster. ortiz will be fighting against the best puncher he's ever faced.

I think this fight will tell more about Victor than Berto. If Victor starts getting beat up and takes it and trys to win, the label of a quitter will disappear. However if he starts to wilt and follows the same path that he did against Maidana, then we will know all we need to know about him and he will be a bust for GBP...
borderpatrol was mocking mexicans with that dont quit stuff, fool.

Me too. I can see Berto getting knocked down or stopped too though. Berto's got more fight in him. His chin is just as bad.

                A. Of course Berto hits harder than Maidana.... hes ridiculously bigger than him. On fight night he's near the 160's. No, size doesn't always matter in terms of raw power... in this case.... it does.

                B. STFU Berto... you're talking **** to a 140lb kid.

Berto is putting a lot of pressure on himself, as well he should. He needs a KO here, an impressive one. He needs a big fight next. Pacquiao? Floyd? We can only hope.

If we're comparing two fighters in the same weight class I agree with you.

But we're talking about Berto, who on fight night is basically a middleweight... he may not hit harder P4P than Maidana.... but as a whole, he definitely does.

I hear you on natural born punchers, but in this comparison... the size difference is to much to make up for... Berto is just so much bigger than Maidana.

to be fair to berto, which can be hard at times, ortiz really should be at ww. i think hes much better suited for that weight class, i mean srsly, hes bigger than pac imo.
