I notice none of the people offering comments were even members here at the time. It's easy to go back and act like you knew Calzaghe was good when none of you even watched boxing at the time.

I've watched football since before my earliest memory, but I've never joined a football forum.

How many people in the world are boxing fans? How many members does this site have? Do you genuinely believe that the answer to those questions is the same?

The reason you catch criticism is not because you made a pick that turned out to be wrong. I was a regular on ESB at the time you made this thread. I've liked boxing ever since I can remember, my late uncle was a boxer.

You couldn't follow it in detail on the internet until about five years ago. I bought boxing magazines long before that, back when I was about age 11. That being said, I've become a more knowledgeable fan the past few years than I was as a child.

Vitali if he had not been injured and if he had had been in a better era etc could be considered much greater than he is now. Vitali has all the tools to be a great fighter but his body can't handle it and he doesn't have the competition to prove it in addition to having his brother around for clean up.
