I'm hoping Donaire goes to GBP, and I really wish Arum wouldn't fight this.

if arum decides to sue either goldenboy or donaire, donaire would most certainly be enjoined from fighting. which means, no he wont be fighting. it remains to be seen if this will get that far of course. but yea, top rank wouldnt allow donaire to fight under goldenboy's banner until the matter is settled. and thats as it should be legally. but for boxing fans like myself, it would suck hard.

lmao...i dunno about goldenboy's legal team sometime. they do some ****** stuff. i wouldnt be suprised if it comes out that they just took donaire's word for it.

I had a very long post typed out with a ton of valid information, but there is simply a shorter way to explain it all. Sure, Nonito is going to make a lot for his next fight under Golden Boy, but his stock is not going to go up like it would in Top Rank and most of all, he'll never get Gamboa or Juanma in the ring now which is where all roads I'm sure were leading. He's taking 1 million now, instead of 500k for his fights. The problem is he is probably at the ceiling of what he is going to make under Golden Boy promoting him, boxing is about PROMOTING yourself so you get more money for fights later and more exposure for things like advertising, Golden is a 10 year old company, there is no way they will do anything as good as Top Rank its that simple now and for forever.

I mean seriously guys, Oscar made his name BECAUSE of Top Rank promoting almost his entire career. Essentially you are going to side with Oscars promotion company, instead of the side who got Oscar big enough to even MAKE him a rival, I'm surprised at how genuinely ****** most people are on this website.
