Donaire has a habit of acting before thoroughly considering the consequences.

I firmly believe that if he had any problems with Top Rank, he could have simply gone to Bob Arum and talked about it.

Why the sudden change? Top Rank has already proven with Manny that they know how to take care of their fighters. If Donaire has a problem with Top Rank, most likely he will have the very same problem with Golden Boy.

In most cases, its not the problem which is the issue, but HOW you deal with it. That's because sometimes, the cause of the problems besetting you may very well be yourself.

i won't be surprised if arum told donaire to join golden boy so he could own them in a lawsuit. he wants to kill golden boy slowly and it's working.

i dont think u guys get it. if the contract says donaire is entitled to 3 fights a year, it is most certainly obvious he didnt get that. if he didnt get that, arum is in breach. the contract is broken, doesnt really exist anymore, and if thats the case, theres very little arum can do about this.

the thing is, im certain donaire looked for ways to get outta his contract, and chances are his legal team found one. he didnt come up with this idea by himself, trust me. this isnt a manny pacquiao move. this is well thought out. like i said, if the statements by both parties prove to be true, then donaire is indeed justified.

if arum decides to sue either goldenboy or donaire, donaire would most certainly be enjoined from fighting. which means, no he wont be fighting. it remains to be seen if this will get that far of course. but yea, top rank wouldnt allow donaire to fight under goldenboy's banner until the matter is settled. and thats as it should be legally. but for boxing fans like myself, it would suck hard.

i definitely agree with that much. whether the contract was broken or not, gbp should have waited it out. i dunno where this will go but if its long and drawn out, thats months if not years off of donaire's boxing career.

i believe in nonito's skill and future, but now he has 2 burned bridges with Gary Shaw and Bob Arum. Forget about fights with Moreno, Gamboa, Darchinyan, Juanma now. All that's left is Mares, Perez. Biggest doable fight out there for him now is maybe chris john, but he won't make money off that fight. he obviously took the work and get paid now route rather than the build up and 2-3 mega fights with gamboa and juanma.

Nonito, just as all fighters I'm sure do, had a clause that said if he was injured and couldn't fight, then the time he was injured wouldn't take away from the 3 fights a year. Nonito was hurt and couldn't fight, then Top Rank had the option of extending his contract for a year which they did. None of this really matters however, Nonito simply made a huge mistake if he did decide to go to Golden Boy for more money. He simply won't get more exposure, he lost all chances of getting fights with Juanma and Gamboa and personally, coming after the fact which he's stated he's willing/can go up to 130 I almost look at this as if he is ducking them to be honest.
