Its the same. Its called tortious interference. Donaire like Pac at that time had an existing and active contract with top rank when Golden Boy signed him. Had Pac didnt went back to Top Rank, it would be top rank who would be suing in 2006, instead of Golden Boy.

The only difference is that Donaire looks like will be sticking with Golden Boy. But then again its too early to tell. Who knows.. we might get a press release from Donaire that he would be sticking with Top Rank, and it will be a dejavu of 2006 again..

The sticking point being claimed by Donaire, is a contract point which required Top Rank to provide him with three fights per year.

damn... this will f**ked up nonito's career. Nonito should handle this issue with extreme care.

Get advises and opinions from legal experts, Nonito.

What the hell is up with GBP trying to sign Filipinos under contract with Top Rank? Did they hit Nonito up with another suitcase full of cash too?

Just wait until they're free agents, dummies. Horrible idea to **** with a Harvard law grad in these matters...

its not the same. if the contract is void, there is no contract. it doesnt exist. u cant interfere with something that doesnt exist. if donaire sought legal advice and it is clear from that advice that the contract is void, injuries or no, what arum says does not make the contract valid. gbp really has nothing to do with that contract. that was between arum/toprank and donaire. therefore, there is no interference.

ok - nobody in here is a lawyer. I am a second year law student, and Im not going to try and act like I know what's going on here after reading A FEW ARTICLES on BS. Please don't try to post legal stuff as fact. it's really annoying seeing people try to win cases over the internet. lets see how it plays out before we try to litigate this case based off two BS articles. . .

Once Manny Pacquiao retires, Top Rank will lose it's only bargaining chip. They just lost Donaire, Cotto is on his way out, Palvik was a bust star wise, Juan Manuel Lopez isn't panning out to be the star people thought his was going to be and Yuriorkis Gamboa is known to only hardcore boxing fans.
