Lewis was only heavily KO’ed by Rahman.

I felt the McCall stoppage was premature.

I beg to differ on the McCall stoppage, but point taken on the Rahman stoppage.

Very true, but he still technically avenged the loss!

I don't want to deviate from the argument into a Lennox Lewis vs Wladimir Klitschko debate anyway. My point was merely that Wladimir has been stopped on three occasions in a weak heavyweight era, which detracts from how I view him in relation to the all-time great heavyweights. Lewis' losses to McCall and Rahman also detract from how I view him in relation to the all-time great heavyweights, but I give him a little extra credit for avenging both losses, even if he didn't have to do a whole lot to avenge his loss to McCall!

You didn't watch the fight. Sam Peter was still throwing hard punches in that fight and that has nothing to do with what the guy said, he said Wlad doesn't throw hard punches in fights unless....and he stated some 'facts'.

Come on boxing scene, i know you like Wlad, but that is not a convincing argument.

Haye will win within 4rds. He’ll throw very little until he spots his chance then ****. Over.
          1) I don't like Wlad personally nor could I care less if Wlad wins or loses, he's lost three times already by knockout and all three were legitimate losses. Just because I post about Haye or Wlad doesn't mean I hate or like one or the other fighter. I'm addressing the fact that this guy said Wlad doesn't throw hard punches unless.....

          I don't dislike him either.

          2) What does Haye have to do with anything. You're in the wrong thread.

Nope, I said he doesn't throw power punches in fights unless certain circumstances occur. The circumstances in question are common to lot of fighters, but I said Wladimir is particularly cautious. His jab is hard. Nothing to do with 'facts' either, I merely stated my point of view on Wladimir based on a lot of his fights that I have watched.

Both are jabbers, but I believe Holmes usually threw a higher volume of punches and clinched less. I recall a young Holmes using foot movement, feints and dodging to frustrate opponents.

I would prefer Wladimir Klitschko box. He is the world heavyweight boxing champion after all, so it kind of sucks that he is always trying to ****** his opponents rather than fight them.

His last fight was a disaster, but overall I like his fights.
They don't need to televise 1 eastern Euro vs another eastern Euro, it's always a boring fight. Just like Wlad vs Ibragimov.
I think they just split the money and laughed at people who paid for this.
Those fights didn't even look like real fights. They look like a boxing fight out of the movie Sgt. Bilko.

I admire Wladimir Klitschko as a fighter, as an athlete and as a man, but there are many things wrong with him:

                    * Wladimir is cautious to the point of tedium, rarely throwing a power punch unless an opponent is showing signs of fatigue, hurting or wide open.

                    * Wladimir spoils when an opponent manages to breach his reach advantage, holding instantly and not relenting.

                    * While Wladimir has faced the best opponents of his generation (barring his brother of course), he has failed to truly establish himself as a great by beating a fellow great. Now this isn't Wladimir's fault, but it's hard to truly love a fighter who has feasted on bums for years. Despite fighting in a pitifully weak heavyweight period, Wladimir has also managed to be stopped on three occasions, only avenging one of them.

I admire the technical and tactical way he fights, but I can't get excited about it. What he does makes sense, but it doesn't impress. As for the lack of quality opponents on his resume - well, he can't really change that, but it might be better for Wladimir if Vitali loses or retires in the near future so he doesn't have to split the best of a bad bunch 50/50.
This guy knows what he's taking about

There isn't a thing surgical about him lol. He jabs, jumps to cling to his opponent with his sole intention to tire him out with his body weight, then eventually throws a right hand and KO's the guy he is fighting. He threw I think 1 or 0 body punch in his last fight and around 1000 clinches where he could have easily landed a KO shot
