He didn't become #2 P4P after beating Pavlik. Quit lying. He got ranked in the top 10 after the Pavlik win(since he was the first person to EVER beat Pavlik at 160) and the Williams KO propelled him to top 5...Know with the KO of Dizzy he is easily top 3 and some argue #1. Nothing wrong with that.

and LMAO @ you saying Paul Williams at 28 was past prime..wtf??

not one ******* has offered a valid p4p argument they offer an atg argument which martinez could never win we all know that. but p4p pac is fighting once great opposition on the decline or nobodies. martinez is fighting tough opposition the undisputed middle weight champ, former p4per paul williams who he dispatched handily, then a man who is arguably the best 154lber. and hes fighting these top tier opponents and beating them better pac has against declining has beens.

Big name fighters they fought prime or past his prime.

Martinez - Cintron, Williams, Pavlik, Dzinziruk

Pacquiao - Sasakul, Ledwaba, Barrera, JMM, Morales, Diaz, Hatton, Oscar, Cotto, Clottey, Margarito and now Mosley.

Uh. Where did Williams lose his prime between the two Martinez fights? Did it jump out of the ring with Cintron?

Too bad you didn't get the sarcasm about Martinez being the p4p#2 beating Pavlik. Martinez has the right to be a p4p#3 at least but those arguing for P4P#1 without him being at #3 then #2 first. LOL!

Sergio has been working hard and pulling off convincing wins against top competition. May, Pac, Cotto, Margarito, Marquez, Hopkins...those guys have not been doing that.

Notice how no-one is mentioning Canelo? Because everyone knows the boy would get smashed.

How about Angulo next followed by Marg-cotto winner?
Martinez is supposed to be the middleweight champ, yet he is only calling out welterweights. How about fight a middleweight for a change

Maybe Pac should fight a welterweight champ and try to unify best HE can at that level, for a change?

Pacquiao should be demoted simply for fighting Mosley next, his last 3 fights are a disgrace! At least Martinez just proved that he could dominate a "skilled" undefeated boxer with a difficult style.
