Problem is it was only Barrera you posted as the "great" WW opposition Pacman has faced.

So you'll need to redefine that.

Old man De La Hoya, Hatton and now ole man Mosely.

What a record, the only decent WW opposition Pac's had is Hatton coming off a loss to Mayweather.

There isn't? Hes been more impressive and has faced better talent in recent years than Pacquaio or Floyd. Sergio can get to 154, the same weight class that Pacquaio received a fake belt in. Strap em up and watch Manny get knocked out just like anyone out there when they fight Martinez. You are delusional if you think Manny would beat Sergio, straight up real talk. Floyd would have a better chance due to defense and movement but he would probably get wiped clean too. Sergio IS the BEST fighter in the world.

Manny is in Sergios radar weight class and I wouldn't give Manny a shot against Martinez. If you're in the same area code as another fighter in weight and you aren't able to beat that guy I can't rank you higher than the guy that is clearly better. This is why I rank Martinez over Floyd or Manny.
He is no.1 at middleweight but P4P#1? Logic says to be reach at the top you must start at the bottom first. When did Martinez became p4p#4 after he beat Cintron? NO! became p4p#2 after beating one good fighter Pavlik and now p4p#1 after Dzinziruk? OMG!

He beat Williams who was ranked I believe 5 by the Ring. What has Manny done in the last 3 years? Beat Clottey, Margarito, and a shot Miguel. When he faced a guy with a top p4p ranking he struggled and arguably lost to JMM. Manny hasn't done anything that great as of late. He's blown out good fighters but not great fighters. Not to mention that Martinez would blow Manny out of the water if they fought. They both can make 154 but you wouldn't see Manny even think about this fight. How can you be the best if theres a guy in your same division that you aren't willing to fight?

Stop crying Pac showed the world how you are supposed to deal with the margaritos of this world if you are the best fighter in the world.

Sergio gets credit for what people THINK he could do to Margarito now, whereas Pac will get credit for what he ACTUALLY DOES.

WTF! I didn't mentioned any welterweights for Martinez comparison the comparable weight division they were before and Barrera was a featherweight in year 2003 for christ's sake!

Margarito isn't even in the debate any longer, Martinez would wax that dude. Manny is the champion at 154, a fight that Pacquaio has a belt in. How you gonna say Manny is better than Sergio if he is unwilling to fight him?

Yes JMM is better than Sergio as well. Sergio hits harder though and a harder chin.

Maybe you missed the part where I said Martinez can easily be rated number one. Not in my opinion, true, but I can understand why he would be, and I have no problem with that. He's a tremendous fighter. He's certainly above Floyd, on activity and opposition, but Pacquiao is still very active and still toying with weight advancement and looking dominant. Whether or not you agree with his opposition, he hasn't done anything short of demolish who they put in front of him. He doesn't lose his number one status until he turns out a **** performance or loses. That's the benefit of being on the top. Number two is more easily displaced. That's true across the board, not just in boxing.

It's the way of the world, kid.

Prime young Williams beat Sergio first. Sergio beat past his prime Williams in their second fight. So its kinda even now and not worth mentioning.

Big name fighters they fought prime or past his prime.

Martinez - Cintron, Williams, Pavlik, Dzinziruk

Pacquiao - Sasakul, Ledwaba, Barrera, JMM, Morales, Diaz, Hatton, Oscar, Cotto, Clottey, Margarito and now Mosley.
