Martinez p4p# 1? For what reason?

Seriously. If you look at his 3 notable wins. Nothing you can't say anything about them being a lineal champ, a multiple divisions champion, a HOF, considered an ATG.

    Welterweight -
    Light Middleweight -
Middleweight - Dzinziruk undefeated but so did Golovkin, Sbik, N'Jikam, Lemieux, etc. and being undefeated doesn't mean you are great HOF fighter specially when people ask you. Who did he beat?
Pavlik a good win but who did he beat after his loss to Hopskins?
Williams beat him before so its just kinda even right now.

So his case being P4P# 1 pointing to his two wins against Palvik and Dzinziruk. beside when did he became a p4p# 3 when he beat Palvik? then became no. 2 after he beat Williams? then finally became p4p# 1 after he beat Dzinziruk? WTF! These people hyping Martinez being a P4P# 1 they must be smoking some crack. I can't imagine they completely bypassing other fighters who worked so hard in their ranks.

A lot of people here ranking him as p4p#1. Best rusume? Tell me who did he beat considered a great wins. Did any of his opponents a multiple divisions champ, a Hall of Fame fighter? considered top 100-200 atg?

Its the body of work you've done as an active boxer. Apparently, BSers only look at the recent wins.
If you look at both floyd's and pac's resume, its pretty friggin solid from their lower weights to the higher weigthts.

Martinez has the best resume of the top 3 fighters in the sport pfp since 09.Pacman got there & started to play around with his spot.Beating guys like Margarito(Clottey who's half way decent)& now he's fighting a clearly past it version of Mosley.Floyd beat Marquez far from his best weight & an over the hill Mosley.

Martinez beat Cintron twice in 1 fight.Put on a fight of the year performance against the Punisher in a tight, close fight.Got cherrypicked by the lineal middleweight champ only to abuse him with 1 of the best 4 pieces I've seen in boxing. Then he beheaded the Punisher in the rematch & just got finished stopping an undefeated jr.middleweight champ.

Instead of criticizing a man that got his the hard way,U should expect more from the guys ranked ahead of him.

Actually Donaire, Marquez and Wongjongkam has much at better argument than Martinez.

Well, i don't think he is number #1 yet. But he is being very, very impressive.

I just don't get why people says that he shouldn't fight Pacquiao or Mayweather.

Pacquiao considers himself a 154 pounder champion, but he is not until beat Martinez.

                    The same thing for Mayweather.

And Martinez is a very very small MW, some people says that he should fight Bute or Ward, come'on, he just moved to MW... :x

Those fights make sense and i favor Pacquiao and Mayweather, i believe they are greater.
