so that means cotto will be fighting pac's leftover in margarito..lol..anyways,i didn't see the fight, but from what i've read cotto got hit quite a lot, don't know, but mayorga taking cotto 12 isn't good,he should have won easier and earlier i think, mayorga doesn't fight often and is really shot, very surprised cotto went 12 with him,but then again i've never really thought much about cotto against hard punching guys, maybe is shouldn't be that surprised,he better stay away from pac again because if mayorga took him 12 thats not good against pac who's younger and faster and stronger than mayorga

I thought he performed well tonight given his age, previous fights, and lay off---nevermind quitting the fight. It would be nice to see him fight again because he's entertaining, but they'd probably just use him as a stepping stone for young fighters. Glad he went out with a big fight.

I saw the fight. Bought the PPV and don't care what people say that it wasn't worth it. MAYORGA was ****ing awesome in this fight regardless of that 12th round. He took Cotto all the way to 12 rounds after a surgery and 2 years in the bench. Seriously, Mayorga made the fight memorable. Hands down, I was laughing and yelling during the fight that I didn't even notice that 12 rounds passed by so quickly. I saw Mayorga gas out at 11th and 12th round but who doesn't. **** this fight was ****ing entertaining.

COTTO with black shorts is more terrific;every fight of COTTO is good to see;COTTO DESERVES ALL THE MONEY IS DOING WITH THIS SPORT BECAUSE HE IS A HONEST FIGHTER THAT GIVE ALL HE HAS EVERY FIGHT,thanks MIGUEL!!!
If i was COTTO,i'd never give a rematch to the cheater from Mexico but COTTO has the ballz of the size of his heart so probably the fight will happen, anyway if there's a man that need a job, well that man is MARGARITO not MAYORGA(a clean fighter)!!!

that left hook in 12 was brutal. This was not a life and death fight but one where Miguel soldiered through and ultimately signed his name upon mayorgas sturdy chin. Cotto perhaps didn't take as many chances as Ricardo would incite him to, which would lead to an accumulation of accurate, stinging jabs from the champ. Ricardo remained a trooper during the course of the fight but it was obvious that despite buckling Cotto in the 7th he was still very game. Miguel pulls himself together and rallies back, soundly outboxing Mayorga to a definitive tko. I thought the fight was entertaining, and I loved how Ricardo would beckon him on it was awesome. I thought it was interesting how Mayorga reacted at the post fight interview when he admitted to Miguel he'd been selling the fight all along and that deep down he had earned his utmost respect, keeping his word to Boxing and retiring for good. Great job Steward....on to the next.

I always said from the get go that this was a glorified sparring session.. Mayorga showed more than what I expected & proved Me wrong..Mayorga fought his heart out!!! & I think Cotto could have finished him off from the 9th round on,cause from that point on Mayorga was ONLY throwing arm punches...But Mayorga lasted till the 12th & final round, but when Cotto landed that devastating left hook, IT JUST ***ED Mayorga UP!! It ***ed him up so bad that Mayorga thought he had his hand hurt, but the replay clearly shows that Mayorga DIDN'T land ANY of the punches he threw & when Cotto connected that left hook to Mayorga's jaw & dropped him, Mayorga immediately looked at his hand(i guess he was SO ***ED UP THAT THE PIAN traveled to his hand) & thought he hurt his hand, but he was really OUT OF HIS MIND!!! Cotto showed he had the ability to stay focus & in his game plan, but against someone like Margarito he gonna have to show more than that to beat him!!! plaster or NO plaster, Margarito has more skills & will than Mayorga!!
