Cotto was lucky, Mayorga was doing a good job until the hook, and his injured hand. This proves that Cotto is not that good, he was too cautious with a 37 year old with a two year layoff, zero technique, less speed, etc. Alfredo Angulo would destroy Cotto, Chavez Jr. too.

It ***ed him up so bad that Mayorga thought he had his hand hurt, but the replay clearly shows that Mayorga DIDN'T land ANY of the punches he threw & when Cotto connected that left hook to Mayorga's jaw & dropped him, Mayorga immediately looked at his hand(i guess he was SO ***ED UP THAT THE PIAN traveled to his hand) & thought he hurt his hand, but he was really OUT OF HIS MIND!!! Cotto showed he had the ability to stay focus & in his game plan, but against someone like Margarito he gonna have to show more than that to beat him!!! plaster or NO plaster, Margarito has more skills & will than Mayorga!!
Agreed man. Margarito is younger than Mayorga and both hits hard. I think this fight will go either way if Margarito doesn't change his style since this Cotto is no longer the same Cotto and style wise too. Cotto is fighting as a veteran champion his war days are over but his new style of boxing his way through is definitely a plus. A brawler boxer doesn't last long in boxing that is the truth even Marco Antonio Barrera had to change style as he got older same with many veteran boxer.

Damn, Mayorga was amazing in this fight.

¿Did u really see the fight? ¿Or at least seen the last few rounds? Cotto was CLEARLY wInning the fight & from the 9th round on Mayorga was throwing arm punches & before Cotto landed that DEVASTATING LEFT HOOK ON MAYORGA'S JAW, Mayorga threw a few punch comination(don't know exactly how many punches) but Mayorga DIDN'T LAND ANY & right after Cotto landed a PERFECT left HOOK to Mayorga's jaw & as soon it dropped him, Mayorga looked at his hand(I guess the pain traveled to his hand) & thought he hurt his hand, but was REALLY KNOCKED THE *** OUT!!!!!! & THAT'S WHY Mayorga DIDN;T WANT TO CONTINUE!!!! He was OUT ON HIS FEET!!!

¿Boxing is NOT a new syle for Cotto?, that's how he started off!!! & he was 1 hell of a boxer before he became a brawler boxer.....Now Steward is trying to take him back to his roots!!!

indeed. That left hook was nasty as hell, I cringed a little bit lol. Poor mayo must've been thinking "Wait. This isn't my room..where..what..my hand?" As much **** talking as he did I actually sympathized with the aging matador in this one. Helluva performace, the main event did not disappoint.
