I dont know what half these people posting saw, must have been watching two completely different fights.LMAO Mayorga took cotto to the 12th round? Cotto didnt press the issue till they traded in the 12th. Cotto boxed for most of the fight and only momentarily traded at times. That other article was completely incorrect lmao. Mayorga did not land as much punches as people are making it seem. The fight was a land slide victory even before the tko. Not only that Cotto looked far better then mosly did, when mosly fought mayorga. Lets be serious about another thing to the post who claimed if mayorga was younger he would have knocked Cotto out by the 7th, did you in any way consider that if Mayorga is hypothetically younger then Cotto would be too, which means the same outcome. lol or do you norms really think Mayorga is or was ever actually better then Cotto. Cottos technique and ring smarts were ridiculously sharp, and he made Mayorga look like he should not have been in the ring. Good tune yp fight after shoulder surgery, next Margacheato. Then hopefully we get some real fight fans who actually know about boxing and not make every little thing about pac and mayweather......

I really hate Cotto's rhythmic punching! Like 1,2,3 and stop... 1,2,3 and stop... 1,2,3 and stop... If he faces Martinez like that he's going to get cold with counter shots. He's stationary when throwing combinations and doesn't even move forward when he should. It was really ineffective and it almost looked like he was resigned to pot-shot Mayorga till the end of the fight.

Cotto's timing is really not for pound-for-pound king material.
wow based on your post you think Mayorga looked better then cotto.LMAOOOOO. I guess 90 percent of the people who saw the fight had it wrong. Mayorga looked Horrible and was relegated to teasing and attempts to rile Cotto into a slug fest. Which failed because when they finally did trade Cotto always came off better. By the way Cotto landed some punches but through out the hole fight he never landed one solid punch with power, but when he finally did the force was so strong it broke mayorgas thumb and put him on the canvas in slow motion.LMAOOOOOO then he almost knock mayorga down again with a jab. Yup surely was a horrible fight for Cotto, and a terrific showing for Mayorga (sarcasm)
