  • Why did someone mention Brock Lesnar here? Brock didn't make it in football because he wasn't necessarily talented enough. The NFL just comes with skill position conditioning and a lot of field memorization stuff. I remember coaches saying he was "a project" i.e. just a physical specimen (duh he hadn't balled in forever).

Brock was going up against, trying to get a job as a newb against NFL vets, the draft/farm system. He had 1 camp to beat out experienced guys and make the official roster. Not comparable.

Agreed.....people are being silly by saying that if LeBron was to box today,he would lose and this proves that athletism doesnt mean you will be good at boxing.....

Obviosuly if he had taken boxing from an early age, he would have at more of a chance....

Its funny because people will say that the rason Roy Jones became shot so early is because he relied more on his athletism than his boxing skills.....but god forbid that a sportman, who exibits amazing athletism at another sport, would have done well at boxing had he taken the sport at a young age....

Rugby is far more dangerous than American Football.

        • Its easy to credit fighters and talk about how great they could be when they are imaginary isn't it?

Here in real life though the K bros and even Haye put the time in as youths and had what it took to get to the top level of the sport. It takes a very special person to do that, its a one in probably billions of a shot that it could happen so I am not going to say alternate universe Lebron would have had a shot at being a great or even decent fighter because its totally baseless.

I can name more that was just for argument sake. I know the English know nothing about good Tennis or Golf but in America guys like Sampras and Aggasi(tennis) made boat loads and in Golf Woods and Mickelson(golf) made crazy amounts too.
I can name more too. And?

LMAO. USA will never win a World Cup in your lifetime and that's a fact.

The biggest myth about outsiders with football. Football used to be played with little to no padding and leather helmets. There is a reason why the game is now played with padding and real helmets. The speed of American Football, the size and strength is bar none greater than any sport in the world.

Nah there was definitely more of a backlash against the players than usual. Usually we blame refs or something. Capello was at fault as were the players.

If rugby players took steroids and wore gay padding, they'd dominate NFL.

but I see he attracted some less obvious trolls to this thread
