Wlads grabbing is the most pussy move in boxing history. I wish Lennox would come back and knock his head off for doing that sh.t ie did Michael Grant/Vitali

Are people still ignoring the fact that the punch you so proudly display in this gif (which opened the cut in the first place) was illegal in more ways than one? Funny how you cry about Wlad's clinching (which is legal,) but ignore Lennox's holding and raking the outside of his glove across Vitali's face (which is not.)

You cannot hit with an open glove, the inside of the glove, the wrist, the backhand, or the side of the hand.
You can't hold your opponent and hit him at the same time

Also don't forget that Wlad called Lennox out in March of 2001, right after the Jefferson fight.

Good luck to you Mr. Haye, God speed.

Man is going to get his face jabbed in for about 9 rounds then put out of his misery in 10

He better hope Wlad's imaginary injury heals up quick or Vitali loses against Solis or he'll be out in 5.

But at least he signed on the dotted line, took him how many years? Oh well, better late than never, gotta respect that- he stepped up and Boxing has a HW fight(s) to look forward to for the first time in a long while

I don't really like either guys but i can't see anything other then a Haye win. Wlad looks so much better due to the fact the division has been poor for so long. Haye will be the hardest fight Wlad has had and i just don't see him winning it.
Haye will just hit and move all night and dodge being hit. Wlad will get pissed off as he has in the past and just get sloppy. Haye will then either knock him out or just keep picking him off and win on points. The sad thing is Haye is in a lose/lose situation. If he doesn't come in and start slugging people will call him a *****. If he fights smart and stays on the outside people will call him a *****. If he is the one retreating from the far bigger Wlad people will call him a *****. If he takes a beating and then lands a bomb to ko Wlad people will call him lucky (just like with Lennox and Vitali) and so on. The only way some will respect him it seems is if he comes in, stands toe to toe with Wlad and doesn't retreat, wins every round convincingly and then knocks him out in the end.
                  Which isn't going to happen....

Wlad won't be able to keep up with the pace for 12 rounds, we have seen it so many times before with other big punchers taking on the hit and move type fighter, and the big puncher rarely wins. I see this one being no different.

Lennox socked the guy in the face with a right. He'd have to be an expert body contortionist to intentionally execute all the things you listed(inside/outside.side glove) in a fraction of a second. Also that was more of an impact/explosion of the eye than a graze or cut.

As for the "rules of boxing" they are broken everytime two guys step into the ring especially holding/hitting. Different referees enforce different punishments: (Warning, point deduction, dQ) but some just let the petty stuff go and let them fight it out.

Its all up to the discretion of the ref/venue, and in Germany apparently excessive holding is ok. Another ref would probably penalize Wlad. I brought up Lennox because I appreciate his vigilante deterrent against clinchers.

It's not up to the venue, it's up to the ref. In Wlad's last two fights, the ref was American. Arguably the ref can be swayed by the crowd in borderline cases, but it's highly unlikely that a top US referee would change their whole policy regarding holding just because they happened to be in another country.
