C'mon D, this is the perfect fight to tease with.

Haye has the tools to do the tactics necessary, but for how long until he falls back into what's comfortable for him (lateral movement on the outside)?

He'll have to be real busy doing all the tactics constantly to keep position without giving up ground, Wlad might be hesitant, but he'll eventually say "**** this, I want my space back". Haye did close to what he'll need to do against Wlad in his last fight, but it's 1 thing to do it against Audley Harrison and another to do it against Wlad.

I'm leaning towards Wlad, but this fight will come down to who can execute their gameplan better.

      2) Haye doesn't use head movement much.

      3) Who in hell will allow Haye to feint and step with Wlad?

      4) Haye is too small to counter Wlad, who usually fights with caution.
Good post. Haye's only chance is to stay on the back foot and out of range to force Wlad into sacrificing his posture and balance. The result of this for the fans is that this is going to be a very boring fight with very few landed punches. It'll make Wlad-Ibragimov look like Gatti-Ward.

As a Wlad fan I insist that this is his fifth or sixth most difficult fight since becomoing champ. There's nothing in this but hype.

I think pretty much everyone who fights Wlad must have that idea in mind but to be able to do it is a whole other story, I don't see him being able to get it done.

Agreed. I think it's hard to pick against Wlad here but I don't see Haye going out without a fight. I wonder how much of the pre-fight stuff will affect each fighters psyche.

              1) You can think that if it makes you feel better. I assume that if Haye is backing up Wlad and has Wlad's back closer to or even against the ropes, you would be comfortable with that and not nervous? I doubt the fight comes to an end in 3-4 rounds.

              2) Haye moves his head in spots. I've seen Haye slip punches before, but it's just a subtle slip to the side and back to normal, not the full side to side Tyson head movement.

              3) Feint as in faking to throw, used to throw your opponent's timing off. Stepping with Wlad, which is when Wlad takes his step forward to throw, you step with him to show him that you're timing him and could possibly counter.

              4) If Haye is backing Wlad up, he won't be too small to counter because the fight will be at the range he's comfortable at, while Wlad will be uncomfortable, since he's not fighting at the range he's comfortable at.

Yeah, let Klit fans think it's going to be a walk in the park. Haye might have stamina and chin issues, but you seriously think Wlad will just handle his combination of speed, power, and explosiveness without any glitch? Think that if you want because I'm not the one that's going to have my @sshole in my throat when everything's not going according to plan.

I'm sure Wlad will be a little angrier, aggressive, and nervous than usual, but nothing a clean punch on the chin from Haye won't normalize. Haye will be nervous too, maybe a little intimidated, but there psyche's should be good, unless they had a bad training camp.

Yeah, I keep wondering why Haye is so confident - and regardless of what people say - he really is that confident about this fight. That's the sense I've always gotten from him. Yet even still, this is about Wlad. If he controls distance and puts a little more oomph into his shots this should be a cakewalk. Haye will be looking for the perfect moment to come over the top with that right.

Old, "before-Steward" version of Wlad probably would, but not currnet one. And who Haye backed up in heavies? Bonin, Barrett? Give me a break... He was running from old, shot Ruiz, for cripes sake. Harrison STOOD RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM for 2 rounds, PAWING with jab. Anyone actually think that Wlad would do that?
                      2) Haye moves his head in spots. I've seen Haye slip punches before, but it's just a subtle slip to the side and back to normal, not the full side to side Tyson head movement.
Yeah, his slips so subtle that nobody can see them.

Its hard to even think about those kind of things, not to mention to actually perform them, when Wlad repeatedly stick his jab right into your face.
                      4) If Haye is backing Wlad up, he won't be too small to counter because the fight will be at the range he's comfortable at, while Wlad will be uncomfortable, since he's not fighting at the range he's comfortable at.
Jab&legs and legs&jab. Repeat for few rounds until Haye's face is a bloody mask. Not to mention that Wlad probably will hold center of the ring and Haye will be on his bicycle.
