Wlad has defeated 9 world titleholders (Peter X2, Byrd X2, Brewster, Ibragimov, Chagaev, Mercer, Rahman) and has the most WBO and IBF HW title defenses in history. He's also taken more "0"s than Vitali with 7 (Brock, Chagaev, Peter, Castillo, Ibragimov, Vujecic, Shaheed).

Wlad will be going for his 50th KO next time out. Nearly all of those have come against fighters with winning records, and at least 15-20 were against fighters who had never been stopped before.
Nice statistics.. about to be 6"o"s taken in 2 and a half weeks.

        FACTS about Vitali Klitschko:

        - All Time Great and Hall Of Famer.

        - There is no blueprint to beat him.

        - He is unbeatable.

        - He has dominated every opponent he has ever faced.

        - Has never been behind on the scorecards.

        - Has great defense and an iron chin, never been down.

        - 38 KOs in 41 wins, greatest heavyweight champ KO% of all time.

        - Only man ever to be world heavyweight champ in boxing and kickboxing.

It's a shame that injuries/4 year layoff robbed him of a stronger resume. If Vitali didn't get injured, he would've dominated the HW division from 2005-2008 and his resume would've been much stronger today, maybe on par with Wlad's great resume.

Vitali is almost 40 now, came back after the 4 year layoff and is still dominating the HW division. He hasn't lost a single round in his comeback.

        Next Victim: Odlanier Solis

Wlad, if he retired today, would be in the lower top 25 somewhere. If he were to lose by KO to someone like Haye, that might push him out.

Vitali would be a handful for a lot of good Heavyweights but based on actual wins he doesn't merit much more than a token kiss in any ratings if he retired today. When one argues whether a best win is Herbie Hide or Corrie Sanders, there really isn't a win worth talking about in the career discussed.

              Your poll options are hilarious.

Wlad is probably top 20. Vitali, because of his much weaker resume, is much lower.

My take on this is always to go with the fighter that has dominated more than anyone else in heavyweight history. What you do to your opponents on the world class stage says alot about your game. Vitali to me at least is #1 alltime by far..ofcourse i'm not the one with pull here so realistically speaking.. his domination alone should put him in the top 10 REGardless of who you think he fought or did Not fight. Wladimir is top 10..his resume & similar dominance should put him there easy. I don't think there's been more than 9 heavyweights in history that have produced more..top 5 if you're Not biased as that's how great he's been. As for #1..to me it's a know-brainer.. if you'RE the ONLY one in heavyweight history..to win more than 90% of the rds you have fought & at the same time knockout 90% of every fighter you've ever fought (briggs travesty notwithstanding)..if you're the ONLY one that has been able to do this in THE entire history of the heavyweight division...you have to get the nod as #1 BY default.

You fail to mention that these are injury induced losses. Make certain he's not 100% during the fight & guarantee yourself an asterisked/tainted W.

Well I look at their common opponents to decide who is the greater fighter.

                    Sam Peter: Vitali
                    Corrie Sanders: Vitali
                    Ross Puritty: Vitali
                    Chris Byrd: Wladimir

                    Best fighter faced: Lennox Vitali

I think Vitali protects Wladimir from dangerous punchers. Their alliance is a practice of comparative advantage where each brother specializes in a certain type of style to maximize overall success.

I think Vitali could survive without Wlad, but Wlad would be out of boxing if he didnt have a 6'8 guardian angel to protect him.
