This is the most important fight in Victor Ortiz's career. He's moving up in weight and fighting one of the best young fighters in the world right now. To be honest, I'm shocked that they are putting him in there with Berto.

To me it seems that it's like they are giving up on Ortiz. I thought this kid was going to be the next cash cow but it seems this is it for him. If he loses this fight, not only do I think he will be broken mentally, but he won't get the big time fights we all thought he would be headed for in the future.

He will turn into a lower level fighter, JMO.

Saying that, I still think this is a dangerous fight for Berto because Ortiz is fast, quick and a very skilled boxer with power in both hands. He also has a good chin, even though he quit vs Maidana, he was hit by the hardest puncher at 140 and still got up and wasn't KO'd.

I'm very interested to see how Ortiz comes in mentally and if he is looking at this as the fight of his career. When push come to shove, Ortiz hasn't shown his heart.

the truth is at this point of pacquiao's career he just wants to bring in the big bucks for a nice retirement.. cant blame the dude if floyd doesn't want to man up. pacquiao-berto would have been great for the fans and a nice test for pac, but lame ass arum and his statisticians decided that a mosley fight would be more profitable. i hope berto get's his shot at pac, he'l probably be eaten by pac but it would be a hell of a fight.

its clear that you're discrediting the pac win against cotto by saying cotto wasn't the same after the marga fight. i hate this argument. that would mean all fighters who got KFO are not the same anymore? pacquiao got kod twice in his career and he looks fine to me. hehe. im not pacnuthugger your but this type of reasoning is just plain illogical. peace

do you think cotto's shot after the marga and pac losses? just wondering why majority of boxing fans think that fighters are washed up after a terrible loss.
