Roy should've learned how to box. Once his reflexes, timing and legs started to go, he was ***ed. Confidence played a big role too once he got KTFO. He was already quite safety-first before that.

Ducking and dodging Roy's punches is impressive as Jones was still pretty quick then, however at times Calzaghe is overly ****y and would loved to have seen Roy just have starched him when Calzaghe was doing his little wiggle.Comment

Roy did the same kinda ***** to the bums he fought in his prime. Butthurtedness is a symptom of tasting your own medicine for Roy fans.Comment

Whats there to miss?
He fought no decent opponent his whole carrear.
Kessler-broken hand
Lacy- overhyped bum
Hopkins- old, gift decison
RJJ- Shot
Robin Reid-gift decison
Eubank-weightdrained way past it
Glen Johnson, Hopkins and Reid rematches, Prime RJJ, Steiglitz, Froch, Taylor, Dawson Echols, Tarver, Pavlik and Woods all ducked by Calzaghe.Comment

It's a shame he didn't really, It wasn't nice seeing him take those beatings.
The point you highlighted about confidence is a very good point and alot of people don't seem to realise it. Before he was stopped so brutally, Roy honestly believed he was unbeatable.
Maybe he didn't sharpen up technically because he had been so succesful without it for so long it's all he knew.
Who knows.Comment
