No it wasn't, I was just adding to what you said and referring to some of the responses in this thread.

      WTF?!

Calzaghe was a bum and he was boring in- and outside the ring.

      Larry must've been high again.

Once any boxer starts losing their reflexes, timing and legs, they are ****ed.

And Roy could box. Just because he didn't work behind a jab doesn't mean he couldn't. He was a wizard in the ring. He was, what, 35 when he got knocked out by Tarver? Time catches up with everyone. It's not like other fighters fall back onto the fundamentals when they reach that age.

Roy Jones was shot, shot to shit when he fought Calzaghe.

That's all, if anybody thought that was a good win for Calzaghe. Then that just shows you the whack ass resume Calzaghe truly has.

As for Calzaghe, it would be great to have him in the 168-175 mix. He was an extremely talented fighter and we could have had some tremendous fights. But he didn't want any of it.

He got out while he still had his oh so great "0" in tact, as well as the sycophantic adoration of the British boxing media and fans. It's that same sort of deluded worship that is gonna allow Haye to retire soon, when he easily could fight on too.

Frankly, I don't know how anyone can justify Calzaghe not coming to America earlier, especially when you see what fighters like Froch and Khan are doing. What Froch is doing now is SHAMING him.

If Calzaghe wanted badly enough, he would have done it. But he got out just when it started getting interesting around him.

i liked calzaghe as well and miss him in the ring

i dont understand the hate for him. big deal if he beat an over the hill roy jones everybody in that was the case going in.

so what if he holds an "official victory" over bernard. the fight ****** and it was a case of two great fighters neutralizing each other.

Whether calzaghe haters or bhop fans like it or not

calzaghe prime for prime was in the same class as roy jones and bhop. not saying he would beat roy jones on his best day but he would not have been blown out and would have been competitive with both

probably losing to roy but bhop and calzaghe could go either way

How are you enjoying your first day as a fan of boxing? D'ya think you'll keep watching and maybe learn a thing or 2 along the way? Or are you just going to make it up as you go along?

Funny, i don't see any "butthurt" Roy fans in the responses, more like stating Calzaghe was not as good as some people claim.
