True, and I see what you think I'm saying by my word choice. This was just bad wording, but what I meant is more or less your list will be seriously short if your only going to include today's boxers. I did say we have **** champions, but that was poking more at Jean Pascal and the Alexander-Bradley 0 must go debacle. I did not mean to say there are NO great fighters of this time but even still B-Hop is a lesser LHW than Archie Moore, and Manny Pacquiao has a whole career's worth of fighting left to really compare him to Ray Robinson. Roy is great but Bob Fitzsimmons is my favorite middle weight to HW champion story.

Amen,I think it's funny though that anyone would believe that the top 2 welterweights right now would dare tread that weight class if Hearns,Duran & Leonard were there.

That is what you believe but Pacquiao Roy Jones and Hopkins are, and have fought bigger stronger faster and better conditioned athletes then Ray Robinson or Bob Fitzsimmons could ever have dreamed of fighting. Boxing fans don't accept this while baseball basketball hockey football etc fans do. As I said its is probable because of the weight classes make less obvious to the naked eye.

But on the same note, take a Robinson who has fought 15 plus round fights, with the technology & conditioning of current fighters with the heart & work ethic of the old days as opposed to the spoiled cherrypicking of this generation & tell me who would win.

Because imagine how good those fighters would be with the advantages in training fighters have today. Also, older boxers fought everyone, so we know exactly how good they are.

LOL you realize Sugar Ray Robinson fought like 10x a year right? No champion fights 10x a year anymore.

You people are so damn naive to think that if the great sugar ray robinson could make millions of dollars to fight Zab Judah he wouldn't do it

while old fighters didint have the modern technology we have now, i truly believe old fightes had to work harder to gain stardom. also old fighters were definetly mentally superior to newer fighters, because they had to overcome much more than todays brand of fiohters. but when comparing generations the new gen are bigger faster stronger.

one thing that i always think about when comparing generation is the gloves. watch old fights and they me floyd, pac, rjj, hopkins whoever could take punishment from strong guys with those little pillows on their hands. the old generation took severe beating with absolute s--t equipment im not sure the new gen could handle it

I think Pacquiao and Mayweather would fight Duran, because he isn't really a welterweight, but they would never even dream of fighting Hearns or Leonard.

You people are so dumb in the 80s all anybody talked about was how Leonard was ducking this guy or that guy.

But he didn't. He fought pretty much everyone that mattered, at least until the end. And I say that as someone who can't stand Leonard.
