Martinez only has two good wins in his entire career. How da hell does that put him P4P #1?

I can see Donaire passing him up because even though his resume is pretty weak....Montiel win>>>Pavlik win and Darchinyan win >>>>>>>>>>>>>>PWill win.

Only thing is Darch win was so long ago but Nonito has picked up a few solid wins along the way.

Floyd isn't fighting anyone any time soon & if he were,it wouldn't be anyone worthy of arguably the # 1 or 2 pfp fighter.Compare Martinez's last 3 fights,or 2 & who he's fighting next & tell me honestly if Manny's last 3,or 2 of Clottey,Margarito & now Mosley are better than Martinez's 3 of Pavlik(rightfull middleweight champion, the Punisher,3 weight classes shook & now Dzinziruk undefeated & highly skilled unbeaten fighter).

It doesn't make sense to me.Martinez shouldn't be moved down to accommodate Donaire,Floyd & Pacman should be moved.
I agree. while martinez is clearly lower than pac and trollweather, he should be above both nonito and jmm.

      1) pac
      2) maytroller
      3) martinez
      4) nonito
      5) jmm

I don't really think U agree though. My take is that if anyone should be moved to make room for Donaire,it shouldn't be Martinez.it should be both Floyd & Pacman,Floyd because he's inactive & Pacman because he's beating old, shot fighters,or guys that don't throw punches while Martinez makes statement after statement about his right to his spot.

nobody can unseat Pac as a P4P #1. Pac dominated his opponents consistently. i agree the only reason you can remove him from being number 1 is to lose against Mosley or retire.
Floyd wont be in the ranking sometime in May because of inactivity.
Martinez should rank above Donaire though. I'd still put Donaire in a #5 spot behind JMM. 1 fight against a good boxer doesnt make you "great".

when Pac beat Barrera who was #3 P4P, world class boxer, a future hall of famer and ATG's, Pac wasnt ranked as high after the fight.

Montiel may be a good fighter but far from being a world class, future hall of famer and ATG's boxer. So im not buying the #2 spot for Donaire.

Hooray for Filipino though Pac and Donaire are 2 of the best fighters in the world.

Good stuff,a respectable opinion.I do think Donaire has proven to be world class.I just feel that the pfp rankings should be moved around a little,so maybe we can get the fights that Matter.Pacman has been dominating his opponents, but he was supposed to beat those guys anyway. If people stop giving him passes for beating fighters he's supposed to beat,(lowering him for the opposition he's facing lately) & take Floyd off that list alltogether,I bet they make that fight happen.

                then we clearly disagree.

martinez hasn't done enough in the past 2 years to overthrow pac's decade of dominance or wifebeater's on-again-off-again performenaces for the past decade. but if anyone could be bumped it should be the vacationing and semi-retired wifebeater jr

if you are looking for Pac to fight someone as good as him you cant find anyone. Mayweather is inactive. Sergio is not in his division. even before the fight against Margarito he said his next fight would be in 147 lbs. Manny's opponents was supposed to lose because thats how good Pac is. Pac and FLoyd are 2 or 3 levels above anyone. Thats why we expect them to win everytime.

Thats the big difference. Pac was supposed to beat those guys and Donaire wasnt suppose to win in amazing/dominating fashion. Donaire and Montiel were suppposed to be an equal talent and the destruction of Montiel made Donaire an instant star. i wouldnt put Donaire above Sergio or even JMM yet.

people are saying now that nobody can beat Donaire in a bantamweight division. but it doesnt mean once he fight any of the bantamweight fighters he is cherry picking. same with Pac, he is fighting Mosley in Pacs' division and it doesnt make him wrong. its just we highly regard Pac as a superior boxer whoever he faces not named Floyd in a welterweight.

I dont care if Berto is undefeated i still doubt he can beat Mosley or even if he does i doubt he can dominate Mosley. i still think Berto gets his chance though.

Pacquiao is still fighting and kicking the crap out of people with ease, so he should stay number one. Floyd is inactive and who knows, so he should move down. I think Marquez should move back to number 2, and picking between Martinez and Donaire is purely opinion. Donaire isn't far from that discussion though.
