There's a big difference, though, between Smith and Atlas in this regard.
Tim Smith reported based on physical info that was presented to him. Whether or not it was bad info remains the question - to piggyback on what Ryan said earlier, I'll give Tim the benefit of the doubt on this one. I believe that the info he received came from a credible source, though that's not to say that it could've been bad info on this one occasion. It's happened to me before, and I'm sure to a lot of others in the industry.
With Teddy, it's strictly hearsay. His alleged source is either a guy who knows a guy... or that he was just merely recycling Tim Smith's report and trying to make himself part of the story (which is in line with his general attention whoring nature). What remains a fact is that Atlas himself never saw the e-mail nor does he have any proof that it exists.
