But I cannot give Mayweather any credit whatsoever for "cleaning up the sport of boxing".

Mayweather wanted Manny to undertake random blood tests, he justified that demand by stating that all of his future opponents would be required to undertake the same regime, and he then stated that he was concerned about "cleaning up the sport of boxing".

The insistance that all of Mayweather's future opponents undertake RBT's, was just an after-thought justification for the demand on Manny, and the "cleaning up the sport of boxing" statement, is just convenient grandstanding imho.

I could be wrong, but that's how I see it so far.

Of course, and I agree that Floyd could have had his own selfish reason to demand the test. And, whatever those reasons might be, doesn't really matter to me. Because, at the end of the day it brought attention to a subject that didn't have any attention beforehand. Whether meditated or not it could set a precedent in changing the drug testing program for boxing...And, for that alone Floyd deserves the up most credit.
