Nowhere have I ever stated I was against better standards.

I simply don't stand for baseless accusations against one particular fighter, especially when those accusations come from a guy who deems this particular fighter as ordinary, one dimensional, easy work and easy money.

Now you can sit there and act like this guy is right in his accusations,

but the rest of the world disagrees.

I wouldn't normally ask you to do anything and would take you on here and now in this thread but please go to the other thread I don't want to have two of these thread polluting the forum it is unneeded since the topic is roughly the same.

i can see justification for this comparison. pacman transcends his sport just like ali did, pacman brings a lot of pride to a certain group of people just as ali did, & pacman is known by every single one of his people even those who dont follow boxing just like ali was.

I agree that he is very well known but to me the comparison doesn't work because Ali was know for reason other than boxing. Even the people in the Philippines that don't follow boxing know him because of boxing at this point anyways.

To me that is the difference between him and Ali. Any other fighter the comparison works because there was only 1 Muhammed Ali

Just to reiterate taking a stand implies going beyond what one would expect for what one believes~


Taking the easy way out, is scraping by doing just what is required.

He's not claiming that Pacquiao is like Ali in that he is controversial or making a political stand, I think he makes the distinction between the two in that regard pretty clearly. He's just saying that both men's lives and impact outside of the ring supersede what they do inside of it.

Whereas Ali took a stand against the government for his religious beliefs and paid the ultimate professional price for it, Pac is using the government to better the lives of his people. Two sides of the same coin.
