Or he is just being unbiased.

Whether or not he likes the fight doesnt change the fact that Pac is the biggest public figure (in regards to his country) since Ali.

He would get the Joe Louis treatment.

Still he was majorly known outside of sport for not only that stance but other political reasons.
Lots of guys who got drafted didn't have an issue with the VC.

          But they still went.

He was no Pat Tillman thats for sure.

Pat Tillman died for his stance, Ali just served time for his.

Lots of guys are not Muhammed Ali, Ali would have never seen combat, so it wasn't fear that kept him away. Ali used his status to stand up for what he believed very few people attain that sort of status to make that even an option.

They are very different situations, post 9/11 versus late 60's Vietnam, they obviously had very different values but those are not like situations. Who is to say who is wrong, there was a good argument for not being in Vietnam since that was a civil war, while 9/11 we got attacked and as top dog you can't just let that sit.

Ali punked out of the war plain and simple.

Pat Tillman walked into deaths grasp and faced it head on.

Yea, I'd say the two situations are very different. One was actually a man about it, the other, played the victim.

The man, died for his stand.

Where did he mention that he wasn't going to boycot the fight now?

The article is actually only LOOSELY based on boxing, to be honest. He's talking about how big of an icon Manny Pacquaio is to some people. Has nothing to do with Shane Mosley or any future fights in a direct fashion. The article is actually talking about WHY he thinks the fight will do good, technically.

He's talking about why, no matter who he faces, it's an event. Therein lays the comparison to Muhammad Ali.

                    Ridiculous.

They are different guys who had different beliefs that were in different times in different situations.

You can't say which is right which is wrong they both believed in their stances.

To me people who stand for what they believe in are what make this country great and beautiful, no matter what that belief is.
