Well, the bookmakers agree with me, anyway -- I was looking at some odds and Solis was as much as 9/1 underdog as of yesterday.
I know I am not putting money on Solis and a 9/1 dog is always enticing for a small bet but about 11% chance of winning is probably right and I can certainly do better (in the ratio between what I think will occur versus the real odds).

Yeah, Solis is a longshot for sure, though some here don't seem to think so.
I hear this before almost every Vitali fight: believe or not, there were more than a few people picking Briggs to beat Vitali.
Ditto with Gomez, Arreola and Sam Peter.
And actually, the guy nobody picked, Al Sosnowski, probably did better than any of the others Vitali has fought since his comeback. I thought Sos won a round or two, anyway!
If I wanted to make Vitali look even better than he already does, I would be dishonestly singing Solis's praises to the skies, so that when VK destroys him, he gets even more credit.
But I'm not going to pretend to be very impressed by Solis, even though I am obviously a big Vitali fan.
You act like Solis is the worst opponent that Klitschko has ever faced, instead of giving him his proper respect for being one of if not THE best opponents either brother has fought.

It's shameful.
there is no way that Solis is one of the best opponents either brother fought. even Kirk Johnson was more proven than Solis is.

LOL. You think Solis is better than Lennox Lewis?
I don't think he's even as good as Sam Peter.
But I never said he is the worst opponent Vitali has ever faced.
However, he certainly isn't the best, and his rep as a pro isn't backed up by his performances, especially lately.
Solis doesn't respect himself or the sport of boxing, or he wouldn't walk around at close to 300 pounds at 6'1" between fights.
He's a fat pig for whom boxing is a part-time gig so he can gorge himself with more cheeseburgers and ice cream.
So why should I give him any respect?
We'll see if your very high opinion of Solis remains unchanged after the fight.

I have never been huge on Vitali but he has earned his place and should be treated as such until really proven otherwise. Vitali has proven to be able to deal with overweight slobs, so until an overweight slob gives him a real fight you have to think he's got it.
I always find the people picking the other guys across from Vitali to possibly do alright is generally a big fan.
Oh and no disrespect to overweight slobs comparing them to Solis isn't very nice~
Exactly. I don't get this massive overrating of Solis by some people.
They ignore reality, and pretend the Austin fight didn't happen.
Solis staggered around like a fat drunk at closing time with Austin.
By the end, they were both so gassed that it was comical, holding on to each other so they wouldn't both fall down.
Then Solis insisted after the fight that his conditioning isn't a problem, that he's in "great shape."
Delusional -- and now he's paranoid as well.
"Vitali is saying bad things about me," LOL!
Conditioning might be an issue, but it's hard to get motivated for a fighter who fails to land a single punch on you, and that you knock down with a Jab. A JAB!!!
Solis has shown that he can move, counter, etc very well with fighters who are kinda dangerous. If you watch the barrett fight, solis was in Perfect form. If that Solis shows up the fight will be competitive. NO ONE ON HERE SAID HE WAS GOING TO WIN. Just that he would be competitive.
And yes, Vitali has fought better opponents, much better opponents, just not recently.
Timing man. It's all about the timing. Years ago... no contest, but now at this moment in time, it will be competitive.

It's boxing and anything can happen, but whether it's very likely to happen is another question.
